August 28
Officers were dispatched to Lee St. in reference to a juvenile refusing to go to school and attempting to leave the residence through a window against her mother’s wishes.
Complainant made a missing person’s report on her brother who she had not had any contact with since June 11. C/p was contacted by her brother’s MIL that she thought he was still in rehab.
Officer took a report from complainant in reference to vulgar and sexual comments from offender.
Officers were dispatched to Mable Ave. in reference to individuals in possession of her ID card and debit card.
Officer responded to El Valle in reference to an elderly woman loitering in front of the restaurant.
Officer responded to Jordan Estates in reference to a male complaining about harassing communications.
Officer was notified of a vehicle leaving Kwik Shop without paying for gas. Officer located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop, at which time he detected a strong odor of marijuana emitting from inside the vehicle. Officer asked the driver to exit the vehicle and asked him about the incident at Kwik Shop. Offender stated he paid for $15 worth of gas and was told he would have to stop the pump. Offender stated he was having a conversation with one of his passengers and accidentally pumped $48 in gas and the employee walked outside and advised him that he had to pay for the gas. Offender stated he told the employee that he only had $5 and was asked if he could pay electronically and he stated he couldn’t. Offender stated he then left to retrieve the balance that was owed. Offender was arrested and transported to EmCo Jail.
August 29
Officers were dispatched to Allen St. in reference to complaint of a female who returned home intoxicated and being loud and using profanity.
Officers were dispatched to Latitude 105 in reference to tires on a vehicle being damaged. Complainant stated someone slashed two of her brand-new tires and is certain that it was her ex-boyfriend.
Officer observed a vehicle not displaying a tag, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. Driver stated he recently purchased the vehicle, and officer checked GCIC to find there was no valid insurance. Driver stated he believed he had insurance and looked online to discover it was canceled. Vehicle was towed and driver was issued a citation.
Officer was approached by a female who requested to make a report regarding a civil matter. Complainant stated she took her vehicle to a body shop and paid offender $1,000 to repair it and two weeks later he had not performed any work on it. C/p stated her insurance company instructed her to take the vehicle to another repair shop. C/p advised she picked it up and took it to another repair shop and it has been fixed but she needs the $1,000 back so she can pay. C/p stated she attempted to obtain the money back and was told “so what you have to do” and that he was not going to return her money. Officer advised c/p that she could pursue the matter through Magistrate Court.
Officer responded to N Racetrack St. in reference to a domestic dispute.
Officer responded to N Green St. in reference to a stolen a/c unit.
Officer was dispatched to the intersection of E Church St. and N Coleman St. in reference to caller stating someone had thrown a drink at her.
August 30
Officer responded to Norwood Ave. in reference to a prowler.
Officers were dispatched to Rentz St. in reference to a female caller reporting she was being followed by another female attempting to fight her following a previous incident.
Officers responded to Curtis St. in reference to a 911 hang-up call and dispatchers could hear screaming in the background. Upon arrival, officer observed a female and three children actively crying and screaming, an 11yo holding the front door shut and could hear yelling coming from inside the residence. The front door swung open and offender exited and continued screaming and yelling. After he calmed down, officers asked him for his ID and he stated it was inside, so he was allowed to go in to get it. After returning inside, offender began yelling and screaming again and was instructed several times by law enforcement to stop but continued, so he was arrested. Officers were informed that an argument ensued and offender shoved victim and a juvenile stepped in between them and offender shoved him out of the way causing him to fall then shoved victim to the floor. It was advised that offender then grabbed a firearm and pointed it at the victim. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
Officers were dispatched to Happiness Dr. in reference to a dog at large and attacked complainant’s cat causing lacerations and leaving the cat unable to move its leg. C/p was observed holding the cat wrapped in a towel.
Officers were dispatched to Mary Ann St. in reference to an unresponsive female with no pulse and cold to the touch.
Officers were dispatched to Domino’s in reference to a vehicle topper falling off a vehicle and being picked up by an unknown individual.
Officer received a call regarding a male who entered onto the property of Carl’s Used Cars without permission. Officer observed a book bag placed beside a hole in the wall and saw offender’s legs through the hole and was instructed to exit with his hands raised. Offender stated he was just looking for some lawn mower parts and that he had permission to be on the property. Offender stated an individual who purchased the shop contacted the owner of the property and she gave permission for him to enter the property. Contact was made with the property owner who stated she did in fact give the new owner permission to enter the property but was under the impression that he was going to be with offender retrieving the items that had been discussed. She advised she would contact the individual regarding the misunderstanding.
Officers were dispatched to Rainbow Ridge in reference to a domestic dispute. 911 advised that residents could hear a female yelling for someone to stop and stated she was scared.
August 31
Officer was dispatched to Warren Ave. in reference to complainant stating officers had been to her residence earlier due to someone calling and advising she had been missing for five days. C/p stated she recently moved to the residence and lives alone and is not missing and has been at work.
Officers were dispatched to Spring Gardens in reference to a dispute and fight. Victim stated her boyfriend grabbed her by the throat and started choking her.
September 1
City court was being conducted, and offender was placed under arrest for active warrants and transported to EmCo Jail.
Officer took a walk-in report where complainant stated he received a call about winning an internation board game and was going to receive $2,487 through Western Union. C/p advised the caller gave his debit card info to receive payment, and he never received it but observed a charge of $350 but disputed it through his bank.
Officers were dispatched to Bradford Inn in reference to a female being unresponsive. Officers entered the room and observed the female lying on the bed and had no pulse and was cold to the touch.
Officer responded to Mable Ave. in reference to damage to a railroad crossing arm.
Officer was dispatched to Walgreen’s in reference to a female laying outside on the sidewalk. Female stated she was waiting on a ride from someone from Wrightsville.
September 2
Officer was dispatched to TitleMax in reference to harassment.
Officers were dispatched to W Church St. in reference to an a/c unit theft.
Officer took a walk-in report where complainant stated she was involved in an MVA and offender failed to show up at the agreed-upon location to assess the damages and determine the cost of repairs. Officer made contact with offender who advised c/p did not show up at the agreed-upon location.
Officer took a walk-in report where complainant stated she noticed unusual activity on her bank account causing her to have overdraft fees. C/p stated checks were written at WalMart. C/p also advised she was missing multiple checks from her checkbook.
Officers were dispatched to W Morsing St. Apartments in reference to a driver colliding with vehicles, trees, buildings, signs and trash cans. Officer observed the vehicle but did not observe any traffic infractions, but initiated a traffic stop due to the vehicle matching the description. Driver was checked out by EMS and transported to Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin.
September 3
Officer was dispatched to Pughsley St. in reference to a domestic. Contact was made with a male who was sweating profusely and appeared to be irate who stated he and victim had been arguing off and on for several days and he walked to a male subject’s house where he discovered what he believed to be evidence that victim was cheating on her with multiple men. Offender stated he confronted victim and she began raising her voice and stepped closer to him at which time he pushed her, and she fell to the ground, and she began accusing him of hitting her in the face. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail and informed staff that he was under the influence of “Molly”.
Officer responded to W Church St. in reference to a domestic. Complainant stated her sister was trying to leave but her boyfriend would not let her and was keeping her newborn son from her.
Officers responded to College Cir. in reference to a student threatening to shoot another student.
Officer was dispatched to S Racetrack St. in reference to a dispute. Complainant stated her ex-spouse/offender was inside, and she did not want him there. C/p stated offender has been very disrespectful and wants him to leave. Offender exited and stated, “I have a warrant so just take me to jail”. It was determined that offender has active warrants in two counties, so he was transported to EmCo Jail.
Officer responded to EMC ER in reference to an animal bite. Victim stated two stray cats were dropped off at his residence, and they bit him on his hand.
Officers were dispatched to W MLK Blvd. in reference to a male subject sitting on the porch and taking a lawn chair from the property and throwing it at the door. Offender was not able to be located.
