September 18
911 dispatched officers to W Church St. in reference to an individual using a flashlight looking into a 13yo’s bedroom window. Officers made contact with a male subject on the porch who stated he saw three young male individuals walking from the area. The male subject appeared to have been drinking due to his slurred speech and a bottle of liquor being observed near the edge of the porch, as well as cigarillo wrappers. Officers then spoke with c/p and advised her of what the male subject stated and she stated the only individual involved was the male subject and that there were not three young males in the area. A flashlight was found in the cup holder of a chair in the male subject’s yard.
Officer responded to King Circle Dr. in reference to a prowler. Officer observed a male subject matching the description given exiting the back gated area of Kiddie Campus and made contact with him. Offender mumbled under his breath when asked where he was coming from and attempted to walk away. Offender was intoxicated and officer explained that he was inside a daycare and offender stated he wasn’t in no daycare. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
Officer was dispatched to Fowler St. in reference to someone slinging items out the door. Victim stated it starts at midnight and stated he saw a slender male appear behind his TV. It appeared as thought victim was experiencing an altered mental status, so EMS was requested. While officer was standing outside, he heard victim continuously screaming and rushed inside to assess victim and he expressed extreme fear and stated he saw the figure again outside his window. Victim was transported to EMC ER.
Officer responded to W Moring St. in reference to cruelty to animals. Complainant advised offender had a dog tied with a leash inside and was sitting in its urine and feces. Offender was advised of remedies to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Officers were dispatched to Youngblood St. in reference to a 911 hang-up call. Victim stated she had an altercation with her partner who threatened to kill her. Officer could smell a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from offender’s breath when he spoke. Offender stated he did say he would kill victim but didn’t carry it out, and said, “so, am I gonna be going to jail tonight?” Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
September 19
Officer responded to S Circle Dr. in reference to a group outside the residence and a female being in possession of a firearm firing a shot. Female stated she feared for her safety after the male subject threatened physical harm toward her and fired the shot in an attempt to scare him away.
Officers were dispatched to Hopkins St. in reference to a dispute between father and son.
Officers were dispatched to Grady St. in reference to kids kicking a door in. C/p stated he saw a group of juveniles walking in the roadway and two of them went on the porch and kicked it in, then went towards Longview Rd. Officers checked the residence and saw no signs of forced entry of a shoe print on the door.
September 20
Officers were dispatched to W Moring St in reference to a domestic. Complainant stated her boyfriend had been drinking and started hitting her on the arm due to her finding out he had a wife and kids. C/p stated offender threw her phone at her and hit her in the cheek, which was very swollen. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
Officer took a walk-in report where complainant stated offender pointed a firearm at him and stated she would kill him.
Officer responded to S Circle Dr. in reference to an unwanted male attempting to enter the residence. Complainant stated she did not want offender on her property and fears for her daughter’s safety when he is around. Officer observed a fist-sized bruise on victim’s arm and questioned her about it, and she stated offender struck her several times several days prior but was afraid to report it. Offender was issued a criminal trespass warning and instructed to leave the property.
Officer responded to 7th St. in reference to damage to property. Complainant stated an unknown person damaged the side window on his vehicle that appeared to be done with a bb gun.
September 21
Officer was dispatched to Little Ceasars in reference to an employee being terminated and refusing to leave.
Officer was dispatched to Jerome St. in reference to a 911 hang-up call. Officer observed several people standing outside and made contact with individuals who directed him to the right residence. Officer approached the residence and made contact with the caller who stated he and his grandmother were arguing because of a comment she made and threatened to call the police, so he called them.
Officer was dispatched to S Circle Dr. in reference to a suicidal male with a firearm.
September 22
Officer was dispatched to E Pine St. in reference to a report of a male pulling a knife on caller. Complainant stated offender frequently make inappropriate comments toward her and other females. C/p stated offender made a comment to her and she told him to mind his business and they began arguing and offender pulled a knife and waved it back and forth. Offender stated c/p picked up a child’s toy and walked toward him as if she was going to strike him with it and he pulled his knife out.
Officer took a walk-in report where complainant stated she was attempting to park in a sport wat WalMart and an employee advised her she could not park there because he was saving it for someone. C/p stated she told the employee that WalMart did not have reserved parking spaces and proceeded to park her vehicle when she left, she observed that someone keyed her vehicle.
Officer was observing vehicles and running license plates when one was returned with no insurance and suspended registration, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. Driver advised his license is suspended due to a DUI and officer advised him that the vehicle’s registration showed no valid insurance. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
Officer was advised that offender resides on W Pine St. and had active warrants through Burke Co. Officers responded to the residence and made contact with offender and transported him to EmCo Jail.
Officers were dispatched to Calhoun St. in reference to caller stating a male subject took her keys. Officers had been dispatched earlier to an unwanted person needing to be removed from the residence.
Officers were dispatched to S Circle Dr. in reference to a dispute where complainant stated her uncle hit her in the face with his fist. Officers observed redness and slight swelling to c/p’s face and lip. Offender was GOA and officers made contact with him who stated c/p got in his face and struck him and they started fighting.
September 23
Officer observed a vehicle parked in the middle of the road, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. The backseat driver exited and began walking away and was advised to get back in the vehicle. He was found to have a warrant through EmCo for a probation violation. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
Officer was dispatched to Harmon Park in reference to caller stating there were three males and a female smoking marijuana on the park premises.
September 24
Officers responded to Kwik Ship in reference to a female who pumped gas that she prepaid for and stated she was unable to pay the remaining balance. Officers spoke with the store owner who stated offender paid for $20 worth of gas but pumped appx. $65, and left without paying the $45 balance.
Officer responded to N Coleman St. in reference to complainant stating her son told her to call the police and left walking. C/p was unclear what was going on but her son was scared somebody was going to hurt them.
Officer observed a vehicle passing in a no passing zone, at which time she initiated a traffic stop. Offender stated he was in a hurry to get home because he just got off work and was tired. Offender’s license came back suspended so he was transported to EmCo Jail.
Officer was dispatched to Dairy Queen in reference to two employees attempting to fight.
Officer was dispatched to Latitude 105 in reference to caller stating a female was having a mental breakdown and being violent. EMS transported victim to EMC ER for evaluation.
Officer responded to Dandelion St. in reference to a dog at large attacking a cat.
