July 30
Officer responded to Stevens Drive in reference to a welfare check on an elderly woman. Upon arrival, officer met with a woman who stated she checks on the woman throughout the day. She stated that no one stays with the woman and she’s always alone.
July 31
Emanuel County 911 dispatched officers to the area of Jerome Street and Lee Street in reference to juveniles fighting inside a vehicle. The victim stated that her sister approached the vehicle and the two became involved in a verbal argument regarding who would be driving the vehicle. The victim stated that she did not want the offender to drive because she had recently put fuel in the vehicle. The offender was arrested.
August 1
Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with suspended registration and no insurance. The driver was found to have a suspended license and was placed under arrest.
Officer responded to Sonic in reference to a report of a person threatening suicide. The male stated that he no longer wanted to be alive and that he needed help. He was transported to Emanuel Medical Center for evaluation.
August 2
Officer responded to South Main Street in reference to a juvenile who had called 911 and stated that he did not know where he was. The juvenile stated that he had left home to get some air and was transported from KT’s Place to South Main Street by two men wearing masks that he did not know. Officer transported the child back to his residence.
Officer responded to the Swainsboro Country Club in reference to a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot. The caller advised the vehicle was parked there after business hours. The driver was advised that no one is allowed on the property after business hours and left with no incident.
Officer responded to Gumlog Road in reference to a call for service. The offender stated that his ID was in his sister’s vehicle and then provided a name and date of birth. No driver’s record found anyone under that name but found a wanted person with the same date of birth. Warrants were taken out for giving false information.
Officer responded to a call for service on Curtis Street. Emanuel County 911 advised that the caller’s girlfriend had taken his vehicle without permission. It was found that she was reportedly driving to the Budget Inn. Contact was made with the offender, but complainant did not want to press charges.
Officers were dispatched to Piggly Wiggly in reference to a hit and run. C/p stated that a bystander informed him someone backed into his truck causing damage to the rear passenger taillight and left the scene without notifying anyone. Surveillance footage was observed of the incident, and the offender was located and arrested.
Officers responded to Gumlog Road regarding a complaint about the treatment of three dogs. C/p stated that she was concerned about the dogs, but the dogs seemed to be in healthy condition with no signs of neglect or abuse.
Emanuel County 911 dispatched officers to Grady Street in reference to a report of a male subject slapping a female. 911 advised that c/p reported the offender left the scene in a vehicle. The victim stated that she did not wish to pursue criminal charges.
Officer was dispatched to North Racetrack Street in reference to an unknown caller reporting that a male was threatening him. Dispatched advised that the male was on scene. The offender stated that he had gone to the location to speak with c/p regarding an ongoing dispute between the two involving a female. The victim stated that the dispute had been going on for some time and that the offender had repeatedly asked him to meet him at various locations.
Officer was advised that there were two vehicles messing up the grass at Harmon Park. No offenders were located but officers were able to locate where the vehicle were doing donuts.
Officers responded to Emanuel Medical Center in reference to a male attempting to strike nurses and refusing medical assistance. Officers assisted emergency room staff by holding the offender down so treatment could be provided.
August 3
Officer responded to South Main Street in reference to a male attempting to break the window of a vehicle. 911 advised that the vehicle had left the area and the male walked away toward East Meadowlake. The male was located and identified and was found to have an active warrant. Offender was placed under arrest
Officer responded to North Anderson Drive in reference to a dispute over a speaker that was financed in the offender’s name.
Emanuel County 911 dispatched EMS and officers to North Coleman Street in reference to c/p’s adult son experiencing a mental health crisis. It was found that the offender was suffering liver failure and was believed to be experiencing a psychotic episode. He was voluntarily transported to Emanuel Medical Center, but when they arrived, he began yelling again. due to the offender attempting to kick officers and not calming down, the offender was tased and officers were able to get him in handcuffs for evaluation in the hospital. A felony arrest warrant was later obtained.
August 4
Officer received a call from the manager of Dollar General who stated that she had just received a counterfeit $20 bill and the offender was still in the store. Upon arrival, c/p advised that the offender had just left.
Officer responded to Howarth Drive in reference to an unresponsive female. C/p lead officer to the bedroom where his daughter was. She was laying on her side unresponsive with shallow breathing. It was found that she has a heart condition and shortly after went into a seizure. EMS arrived and transported her to the hospital.
Officer was dispatched to Emanuel Medical Center in reference to a female who had been assaulted. The victim stated that she was walking on North Racetrack Street near West Church Street when the offender approached her and confronted her about allegedly being out all night at another person’s residence and cheating on him. She stated he then grabbed a handgun and struck her with it. It was found the offender had an active warrant and was located and arrested.
Officer responded to South Main Street in reference to an altercation. Officer met with the victim and witnesses. One witness stated that she arrived to check on the residents and the victim was holding her wrists and crying. She stated that the other residents told her that the offender grabbed the victim’s wrists aggressively when she told him not to continue going in and out due to the air conditioner being on. The offender was arrested.
Officer was contacted by the manager of Latitude 105 and asked to stop by. He stated that he had two people cleaning and painting an apartment and they had moved in about two weeks prior. He stated that he located what appeared to be drugs in a cigarette pack under the bathroom sink.
August 5
Emanuel County 911 dispatched officers to East Pine Street in reference to a reported fight. The caller reported hearing a lot of yelling. No one was located.
Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle without a displayed license plate. Marijuana was located and offenders were arrested.
August 6
Officer responded to South Main Street in reference to possible property damage. Offender stated that he was cutting the grass around Sonic and a vehicle was parked near a portion of the grass. He further stated that when he made it around to that portion, that she still had not moved the vehicle, so he proceeded to cut the grass. C/p stated that he blew grass while she was attempting to move the vehicle, but no damage was observed.
Officer responded to West Main Street in reference to the caller stating that he was receiving threatening voicemails. The caller was advised the proceed of a TPO.
