Officers with the Swainsboro Police Department (SPD) reported...

June 12

Emanuel County 911 dispatched officers to McLeod Bridge Road in reference to a male individual walking around the complainant’s residence and attempting to look or listen into the home. Upon arrival, no individuals were observed in the area of the residence. C/p stated that she believed the individual to be a male who gave her a ride and asked her for money. She stated that she told him she would pay him on that Friday after she was able to go to the bank.

Officers were dispatched to East Main Street in reference to a child walking alongside of the roadway. C/p stated that she picked up the child and took him to the Kwik Shop to wait for law enforcement to arrive. The mother of the child was contacted who stated that he asked to go to his grandmother’s while his mother went to work but was told he had to stay at his grandfather’s house. His grandmother picked him up and returned him to his grandfather’s house.

Offender was arrested for an active warrant.

Officers were dispatched to Sonic in reference to an employee in possession of a firearm. Upon arrival the firearm was retrieved along with a search conducted of offender’s vehicle where marijuana was located. C/p stated that an argument ensued, and the offender stated he was going to go home and get his gun. She further stated that he left and returned with the firearm. Offender was arrested for possession of marijuana and disorderly conduct.

June 13

Officers were dispatched to North Main Street in reference to an irate male subject. C/p stated that her ex-husband had come to the residence intoxicated and began kicking the front door and throwing chairs on the front porch. The offender stated that she threatened to kill him. When asking for his ID, he refused to comply and attempted to walk away. Offender continued to resist arrest, and officer drew his department issued taser. Upon arrival to the jail, a cut on offender’s forehead was noticed, so he was transported to the hospital where he was issued citations and released to hospital staff.

Officer responded to the 24-Hour Store in reference to speaking with c/p who is an assistant manager at the Huddle House. He stated that he and another employee became involved in a verbal argument regarding the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and the responsibilities of employee duties. He further stated that the co-worker is currently dating the offender. He stated that the offender threatened to harm him and was hostile.

Officer was dispatched to the intersection of Williams Street and North Coleman Street in reference to the caller stating someone had busted his car window.

Officer responded to South Main Street in reference to someone trying to get into the caller’s room. No one was observed.

Officer was dispatched to Mary Ann Street in reference to a report. C/p stated she had a neighbor who knew she was terrified of pitbulls due to a past incident and the neighbor had let her dog off the leash.

Officers were dispatched to South Main Street in front of Sonic in reference to a vehicle running the caller off of the road and then leaving the scene. C/p stated that she was driving and the offender tried to run her off the road. When she tried to speak with them, the offender got out of the vehicle and struck her and threatened to shoot her.

June 14

Officer responded to Scoops in reference to a domestic impute that had just occurred. Offender was not located.

Officer took a walk-in report at SPD. C/p stated that on March 7, he entered into a contract with a roofing company and paid them with a cashier’s check. He stated that no work has been completed. He stated that the offender stated that they had not begun work due to the insurance company not paying them.

June 15

Officer responded to Watson Street in reference to a possible entering auto complaint. C/p stated that while she was away from the residence, an unknown person or persons broke out the driver’s side window of her vehicle.

Officer responded to Queensboro Bank in reference to a report. C/p stated that a report had been made through the bank regarding possible elder abuse and she needed to follow up and make a report with law enforcement. She stated that the victim had an account with her daughter listed as the payee. It was observed that the offender had been making transactions and moving money from the victim’s account. She further stated that the offender came to the bank to add the other daughter to the account.

Officer responded to North Main Street in reference to a burglary in the second-degree complaint. C/p stated that he discovered the side door of the building open and observed that the lock was missing.

Officer responded to Poplar Street in reference to a burglary complaint. C/p stated that he was in town visiting family and drove by his grandparents’ residence, which is currently up for sale. He stated that he observed the doors being open in the residence.

Officer took a report at SPD. C/p stated that he has lost or mislaid his wallet.

Offender was arrested for an active warrant.

June 16

Officer responded to Lewis Street in reference to a dispute. C/p stated that she and her son had been involved in a dispute. Offender was found to have and active warrant and was arrested.

Officer was dispatched to Emanuel Medical Center ER in reference to an assault. The victim stated they had gotten into an altercation about a number on his phone and when she went to leave, he grabbed her by her neck and started choking her to the point where her eye had turned black and was swollen shut.

June 17

Officer responded to Dollar General in reference to a family violence complaint. C/p stated that he and the offender became involved in a verbal argument regarding money. He advised that in attempt to avoid further conflict, he exited the vehicle. He stated that after this the offender attempted to strike him with the vehicle.

Officer was dispatched to Emanuel County Courthouse in reference to a minor fender bender. The victim stated that she was parked in a space sitting in her vehicle and the other vehicle parked on her left side. She stated that the passenger of said vehicle opened the door and struck her vehicle.

June 18

Officer took a walk-in report at SPD in reference to vehicle damage. C/p stated she drove into a large hole in the roadway with her front driver’s side tire.

Offender was arrested for an active warrant.

June 19

Officers were dispatched to North Coleman Street in reference to the caller advising someone had broken into her home and tore down her blinds. C/p stated that her boyfriend committed the act. She was advised on the process of obtaining a TPO.

Officer responded to Howarth Drive in reference to a dog at large. C/p stated that while walking to the store, a do from a residence on South Anderson Drive jumped over a fence and chased her back to her residence. The offender was advised to keep the dog secured behind her fence.
