Officers with the Swainsboro Police Department (SPD) reported...

May 15

Officer responded to the Swainsboro Golf Course in reference to damage to two golf carts. Complainant stated that an unknown person or persons damaged two golf carts.

Officer was notified of an individual on South Main Street selling items without permission from the property owner. The offender was issued a criminal trespass warning.

Officer was dispatched to Gumlog Road in reference to a theft and harassment complaint. C/p stated that earlier that morning she and the offender were involved in an argument. She further stated that during the argument he took her house key, $60 in cash, a work phone, and a work tablet, and a few other items. She also stated that he took a firearm that she had gifted him in December. She also advised the offender is a convicted felon.

While enroute to a damaged mailbox call on Arden Drive, officer observed a semi-truck strike and tear down a wire connected to the power poles at the intersection of Old Nunez Road and Maurice Drive.

Officer responded to Arden Drive in reference to a damaged mailbox. C/p did not know who could have caused the damage.

Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle without a visible tag light. Offender was found to have a suspended license and was arrested.

May 16

Officer was dispatched to East Pine Street in reference to a damage to property where a juvenile damaged a renter’s door. C/p stated that while her granddaughter was inside the house, the juvenile ran into her door and damaged the frame to the point where it would not lock. The child stated that a dog was chasing her and she was trying to get away.

Officer responded to West Church Street in reference to an entering auto complaint. C/p stated that an unknown person entered his vehicle and stole a number of miscellaneous items. most of the items were located.

Officer responded to Hardin Drive in reference to c/p’s dog being trapped in a live trap located in the neighboring fenced yard. The dog was released.

Officer responded to Kathleen Road in reference to a complaint involving a Walmart One tablet. C/p stated that the offender had stolen the tablet from her. All parties were separated.

Officer was dispatched to Turner Drive in reference to reported property damage. C/p stated that she lives in Augusta and acquired her mother’s residence after her passing in 2025. She advised that she planned to sell the house and had to come check on the property. While there, she discovered that 10 windowpanes in a large window had been broken.

Officer was dispatched to East Pine Street in reference to loud noise in the area. Upon arrival, there were adults and kids all throughout the area. They advised they were having a birthday party.

Officer responded to Allen Street in reference to a dispute among relatives. All parties were separated.

911 dispatched officers to East Pine Street in reference to a domestic in progress. 911 advised they could hear a male yelling and refusing to leave. Offender stated that he showed up to the baby shower to speak to c/p because his mother was not invited to the shower. The conversation escalated to arguing, all parties were separated.

Officer took a report on North Main Street. C/p stated that he and his friends went to Walmart to buy ice cream but due to them not needing to be home until a later time, they agreed they would come back later, one of his friends then stated they could just walk around the store until time to leave. The offender came into the store with his son and began calling the juveniles names.

May 17

Officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to the caller stating the father of her child had not brought the child back to her. The father was finally reached and stated he was running behind.

Officer was contacted and advised by c/p that a vehicle and two male suspects had been coming into his yard. C/p stated that he had to fire an employee due to drug use and he suspects the offender is trying to steal money.

911 dispatched officers to South Main Street for a dispute between customers and employees at Dairy Queen. The offender was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Officers were dispatched to Lambs Bridge Road in reference to two females in a dispute and one female now giving the other female her belongings. it was advised that the female would not give her girlfriend her keys because she was intoxicated.

May 18

Officer took a walk-in report at SPD. C/p wished to file a report regarding an ongoing dispute between herself and another female. A TPO was filed.

Officer was at Allen Street in reference to a dispute. C/p stated that he came home and two females were at his house with their mother, but he wanted the girls gone.

Officer was positioned at Burger King due to a male laying something down close to the sidewalk and walking off. It was found that the male was out on bond and his bondsman was coming off his bond.

Officer took a report in reference to property damage to his residence. Complainant stated he observed juveniles in the field across form his residence playing with gold clubs and hitting golf balls and he discovered his window broken.

Officers were dispatched to Oaklawn Dr. in reference to damage to property.

May 19

Officers were dispatched to Fairground Connector in reference to a subject being passed out in a patio chair on complainant’s porch.

Officer was stopped by a concerned citizen and advised they believed there was illegal drug activity being done on Project St.

Officer was contacted in reference to complainant stating he was having issues on Lewis St. with a lot of illegal drug activity in and out of the apartment.

Officer initiated a traffic stop on Gumlog Rd. in reference to the vehicle displaying no valid insurance. Vehicle was towed.

Officers were dispatched to Swainsboro Golf Course in reference to damage to a golf cart. Complainant stated offender damaged a golf cart which sustained significant front-end damage as well as other damages and advised total damages will be a minimum of $1,000. It appeared as though offender struck a bridge on the golf course property.

May 20

Officer responded to ZCorum in reference to the manager stating an employee’s husband was sending threats through text messages and was parked outside the business. While enroute, officers were informed that offender left the premises and said he would return in 10 minutes. Victim stated she and offender/husband got into an argument and he was threatening her and she was crying and visibly shaking in fear. Victim stated she previously attempted to obtain a TPO against her husband but did not complete the process and advised there has been prior verbal and physical abuse in the relationship, including one where offender allegedly held a firearm to her head, and offender has a history of substance abuse. Officer observed offender’s vehicle on E. Meadowlake Pkwy and conducted a traffic stop and he was issued a Criminal Trespass Warning from the property.

Officers were dispatched to Deluxe Inn in reference to a male being hit by his son.

Officer responded to Hickory Trace Cir. in reference to a broken driver’s side window on complainant’s vehicle.

May 21

Officer responded to Sunoco in reference to a vehicle fire.

Officer responded to Ben St. in reference to vehicles driving too fast in the neighborhood.

Officers were dispatched to Youngblood St. in reference to a domestic.

Officers were dispatched to N. Racetrack St. in reference to shots fired.
