April 16
Emanuel County 911 dispatched officers to West Main Street in reference to a shed fire. C/p stated that he was unaware of how the fire started and that it was extinguished using buckets of water prior to emergency personnel arrival.
Officer responded to South Main Street due to a worker needing to speak with someone. C/p stated that he could not get the door to lock on the building and needed someone to stay until he could get someone there to fix it. He was advised that an officer could not stay there but they could drive by and keep an eye on it. He stated that he got someone to fix it and would stay until they got there.
Officer was dispatched to King Circle Drive in reference to an unruly juvenile. The juvenile stated that the reason his grandmother contacted 911 is because he had been at a friend’s house and was supposed to carpool with them to basketball practice. Practice was cancelled and then he walked to his brother’s house and that his brother did not bring him back home after he finished grilling. He stated that his grandmother did not know his whereabouts and that is why she contacted 911, and he became angry with her. The situation was resolved.
Officer was dispatched to a 911 hang-up call on McLeod Drive. The resident advised that everything was okay and that they did not mean to call due to falling asleep with their phone in their hand.
Officers responded to West Main Street in reference to a theft that had occurred on the Saturday prior. The vehicle tag was able to be seen on camera footage.
Officer responded to Tom’s Pawn Shop along with the Swainsboro Fire Department in reference to a vehicle fire. The fire was put out.
Officers responded to Emanuel County Er in reference to an irate patient. Staff stated that the patient was angry and threatening them. Patient was placed under arrest.
Officer was dispatched to the area of North Main Street and Ponderosa in reference to a concerned motorist reporting that a male subject was lying in a ditch. The male stated that he was homeless was passing through the area. He was advised with information regarding a homeless shelter and a place to stay. A blanket was provided to him.
Offender was arrested for an active warrant.
Officer was dispatched to Freedom Street in reference to a caller stating that a white female was removing items from his friend’s residence after he had been arrested. Contact was made with the resident at the jail who stated he told the woman to sell his items so she could have money for food.
April 17
Officer was dispatched to Mary Ann Street in reference to a report of a missing vehicle. C/p stated that he walked outside of his apartment and his vehicle was missing from where he had left it. His vehicle was found to have been repossessed.
911 advised officers of a 911 hang-up call in the area of West Church Street and Central Street. It was advised that a call back was attempted but the phone number returned disconnected. Negative contact was made.
Officer was dispatched to Gumlog Road in reference to a vehicle vs. deer incident.
Officers responded to West Meadowlark Parkway for an intoxicated female trying to take a child. C/p stated that offender walked up and picked the juvenile up and asked if she could take her to McDonald’s. She stated that asked the mother of the child and she said yes. She was placed under arrest.
Officers responded to Emanuel County ER in reference to an assault. The nurses stated that a patient was but giving much information but the friend who brought them in stated they had been at a friend’s house and one of the males at the residence beat the patient’s head on a pole and threw him on the concrete.
Officer was dispatched to South Main Street in reference to a male subject thinking someone had put something in his drink at the Moose Lodge. He stated tat he had stomach pain and had been drinking at the Moose Lodge. He stated that he does rink a lot and he possibly just had too much.
Officer took a walk-in report at SPD in reference to a letter received from a credit recovery agency. C/p stated that her husband received a letter in the mail advising that he owed money to TRS Recovery Services for a purchase made at Walmart in March. she contacted her bank who confirmed that the number associated with the transaction did not belong to her or her husband. Footage was reviewed and the woman in it resembled the c/p. She stated that the person was not her.
April 18
Officers were dispatched to the Budget Inn in reference to two males arguing and screaming at each other. 911 advised that c/p wanted to remain nameless. No offenders were located.
Officer was dispatched to Colegrove Drive in reference to people being on the property and no one should be there. 911 stated that Calle advised there was a white female and a black male on the property. Negative contact was made.
Officer was dispatched to West Street in reference to a suspicious vehicle on the property. C/p stated he did not know the vehicle but wanted it removed. The vehicle was moved and officers were later dispatched back to the area for loud music. Officer advised the host of the complaint and they shut it down.
April 19
Officer responded to Lewis Street in reference to an offender refusing to leave the residence when asked. C/p stated that she and offender are in an on-and-off relationship and that he was confronting her about speaking to other men. Offender left the scene prior to police arrival.
Officer was dispatched to Hill Street in reference to a custody dispute. Offender stated that her child did not want to stay at the residence and wanted to stay with her, but her mother had custody of the child at the time. She was advised to leave.
April 20
Officer responded to Gumlog Road in reference to an unruly juvenile not wanting to go to school. The child’s mother stated that her daughter was refusing to get up and get ready for school. After arrival, the child got out of bed and got ready.
Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to stop sat a stop sign. It was found that the offender had a suspended license from a prior DUI and was arrested.
April 21
Officer responded to the area of ABC Food Mart in reference to a reckless driver. Amphetamines were located in the vehicle and offender was arrested.
911 dispatched officer to Williams Street in reference to simple battery. C/p stated that the offender grabbed her by her shirt and pusher her into a table during an argument. Offender stated that c/p struck him in the face and pushed him and that it was self-defense. Parties were separated and advised of the process for obtaining private warrants.
Officer was dispatched to East Pine Street to a private property vehicle accident. C/p stated that earlier in the day she and her boyfriend, the father of her child, were involved in a verbal altercation. She advised that she dropped him off at a convenience store. She stated that when she arrived to her apartment complex, he had already arrived and approached her driver’s side window, threatening to break it if she didn’t roll it down. She reversed her vehicle and collided with a parked vehicle. EMS arrived and checked her for injuries and offender was advised to return to his residence.
April 22
Officer was dispatched to East Pine Street in reference to a 911 hang up call. Negative contact was made with anyone in the apartment. A neighbor stated everything appeared to be okay and she saw the resident leaving the apartment earlier in the day.
Officer responded to East Main Street to a welfare check. The male stated he was at his unit to retrieve his medication and intended to leave again. He also stated that he is homeless.
Officer was dispatched to the area of Electric Drive and Space Place in reference to a welfare check on a male laying down by the road. The male was very intoxicated and was given a courtesy ride home.
Officer responded to Lake Luck Drive in reference to a damaged mailbox. C/p stated that she was not at home during the time the damage occurred.
April 23
Officer was dispatched to South Anderson Drive in reference to a criminal trespass. Complainant wanted offender trespassed due to her being evicted. Criminal trespass warning was issued.
Officer was dispatched to Market Street in reference to a 911 hag up call. Both apartments stated they did not call 911.
Offender was arrested for a probation violation and was sentenced to 8 days to serve in Emanuel County Jail.
