Officer was dispatched to Nassau St. in reference to an alarm.
Officer was dispatched to Taco Bell in reference to an alarm.
Victim stated an unknown person used her debit card 22 times in the amount of $30 each, totaling $660.
Officer observed a vehicle with illegal tint, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. Officer noticed the driver was very nervous and could smell an odor of marijuana. During the search, a 9mm, scales, marijuana, tray with marijuana residue, pistol magazine and 26 live rounds were found. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
Officers were dispatched to Turner Dr. in reference to packages falling off a FedEx truck.
Officers were dispatched to N. Racetrack St. in reference to a possible burglary. C/p stated someone was beating on the window and offender was attempting to remove the window screen. Officer did not observe anyone in the immediate vicinity but observed the window screen removed and lying on the ground.
Officers responded to Herrington and Calhoun St. in reference to multiple shots fired.
Officer was dispatched to Mason Dr. in reference to a suspicious person. Caller stated someone was walking in his backyard and fled on foot when complainant exited his residence.
Officers were dispatched to N. Green St. in reference to a welfare check.
Officer responded to West St. in reference to a hang-up call. Residents advised everything was okay.
Officer responded to Oak Lawn Dr. in reference to shots fired. Officer was advised offender left the scene. Complainant stated offender appeared to be under the influence of meth.

January 31
Officer was dispatched to WalMart in reference to a female needing a report on stolen property from her wallet. Complainant stated she realized she left her wallet in a WalMart shopping cart and went back and spoke with associates who stated her wallet was retuned by a male subject. C/p advised $200 was missing and was informed that workers with access to the camera footage would be in on Sunday.
Officer was dispatched to EMC ER in reference to a male subject walking out with an IV in his arm.
Officers were dispatched to Advantage Ln. in reference to a domestic. Complainant stated there was a fight between herself and a female due to c/p’s husband having an affair with her. C/p’s husband stated the female is an acquaintance and he and c/p got into a verbal argument that turned physical between c/p and the female.
Officers responded to EMC ER in reference to a male subject who had been discharged and fighting with nursing staff.
Officer received a call about offender with an active warrant pulling up at his residence. Officers arrived and offender asked what was going on and was advised he had a warrant through Johnson Co. Offender stated he had been trying to get his court date changed but had not been able to. Officer had 911 run offender through GCIC and learned he also has warrants through ECSO who wanted a hold placed. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
Officer responded to Prosperity Dr. in reference to a domestic. Complainant stated his son was attempting to take control of his house and he was not going to allow his 19 yo to do so. C/p’s wife stated they were arguing over the internet not working due to the weather. C/p advised everything would be fine because his son was leaving for the night.
Officer was dispatched to Abundance St. in reference to a welfare check due to victim not having electricity or running water at his residence. Officers made contact with victim who stated he was okay and did not require any assistance. Officers made contact with the victim walking appx. an hour prior who stated he voluntarily left the homeless shelter at St. Philip church due to an altercation but was hesitant to discuss the issue.
Officer was dispatched to Curtis St. in reference to stolen property. Complainant stated his ex-girlfriend took one shoe from 10 pairs of shoes, two jerseys and a pair of his jeans when she moved out.
Officer was dispatched to Jefferson St. in reference to an alarm.
February 1
Officer responded to Gumlog Rd. in reference to a domestic dispute. Offender stated he and his girlfriend/victim had a verbal argument due to a male subject hugging victim at victim’s mother’s viewing. It was apparent offender was intoxicated due to his instability on his feet, slurred speech and a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting form his person.
Officer responded to Lucky St. in reference to a juvenile who shot out the window of an SUV with a pellet gun. Complainant stated she heard glass breaking and observed the juvenile pointing a pellet gun at his property then toss the gun behind a bush. The juvenile stated another juvenile gave him the pellet gun and told him to hide it. Both juvenile’s mothers spoke with c/p, and they came to a mutual agreement regarding the repair of the window.
February 2
Officer responded to Jordan Estates where victim was bleeding from her mouth. Offender was gone on arrival and warrants were taken out on him.
Officer responded to McDonald’s in reference to a MVA. Complainant stated she was struck in the rear by the vehicle behind her and it left the scene, but she was able to provide the tag number. Officer made contact with the listed owner on Thomson Rd. who advised she was not involved in a vehicle accident. Officer examined both vehicles and did not observe any paint transfer matching the claimed vehicle.
Officers were dispatched to S. Anderson Dr. in reference to victim being bit by a dog. Complainant stated he was walking when a dog attempted to attack him by grabbing his pants leg but never actually bit him. Victim pointed at the residence where the dogs were taken in the back door of the residence. Contact was made with the owner who stated all his dogs were inside his home or the fenced yard to his knowledge. Officer made him aware of the situation.
Officer was dispatched to Glenwood Rd. in reference to damage property. Complainant stated she went to check the building due to her place of business being damaged and discovered several air conditioners had been damaged and stripped.
Officer was dispatched to W. Moring St. in reference to a civil issue.
Officers were dispatched to OBHC in reference to an alarm.
Officer was dispatched to S. Main St. in reference to a subject in the store asking for assistance to move his truck from the side of the road.
Officer was dispatched to Deluxe Inn in reference to a subject texting 911 stating he felt unsafe but did not want to meet and officer.
Officer met with complainant in reference to a report of theft. C/p stated he met a female and allowed her to stay at his residence, and she took $221 cash and his phone.
February 2
Complainant reported a theft that occurred at Becon of Hope Church. C/p stated an air conditioning unit was tampered with and partially stolen.
Officer received a call advising Code Enforcement observed a damaged gate on Hwy 56 N. Officer responded to the location and observed the hardware securing the lock had separated from the gate.
Officer received a tip regarding a wanted person traveling on Empire Expressway toward the bypass. Officer responded to the area and located the vehicle. Upon pulling behind the vehicle, it turned on S. Main St. then Alice Cir. Offender exited the vehicle and fled on foot into a wooded area. Multiple units arrived on scene and conducted a search with no contact made. It was later discovered that offender contacted his brother who picked him up and transported him to EmCo Jail.
Officer was approached by a male subject who suffers from effects of a prior stroke and is unable to speak. Based on his actions, officer determined he needed to be transported somewhere. He directed officer to Glenwood Rd. to his sister’s residence and indicated his sister stole his money. She denied taking any money and stated she would return him to his residence, but he made it clear that he did not want to be left with his sister. The sister told officer that complainant’s “brain was messed up” but based on interactions, he appeared coherent and able to understand and communicate nonverbally. C/p then directed officer to his older sister’s residence on Braswell Blvd. and she was able to interpret some of c/p’s gestures and indicated the other sister had been receiving c/p’s SS check and disability payments and had been keeping appx. $900 for herself instead of giving the funds to c/p.
Officer responded to Tractor Supply in reference to a trailer that had not been returned. Complainant stated offender rented a trailer that was supposed to be returned and had not been and offender later called and requested an extension of the rental period for four more day but is refusing to return the trailer.
Officers were dispatched to Lee St. in reference to a 911 hang-up call.
Officers were dispatched to Mary Ann St. in reference to an unwanted person. Offender was arrested due to causing a public disturbance and transported to EmCo Jail.
Officer observed Wincore’s guard shack door had been forcefully opened and the other door had a broken window. Officer then observed a visible shoe mark on the door which indicated the door had been kicked open.
Officer responded to Bradford Inn in reference to caller stating there were people outside his door and a light was shining through his window. Complainant appeared very paranoid, was unable to stand still and had pinpoint pupils. C/p requested officers to continue to patrol the area. Officers were dispatched a second time for the same complaint. C/p reported he had photos of the lights and people. Upon arrival, photos were observed and appeared to show a reflective glare from a piece of metal trim on a chair caused by the camera flash. No evidence of any suspicious light or individuals outside his door was observed. C/p was asked if he consumed any illegal drugs or alcohol, which he initially denied stating he had been clean for appx. 14 months. Officers were dispatched a third time an hour later for the same complaint. C/p admitted he had not been truthful earlier and stated he recently relapsed and was feeling extremely paranoid and was currently going through a difficult period in his life.
Officer was dispatched to Norwood Ave. in reference to an unwanted person. C/p stated she allowed a female to stay with her and she had become disrespectful and she wanted her gone from the residence. Female subject stated she had another place to go and would voluntarily leave so she packed her belongings and left.
February 5
Officers were dispatched to Rainbow Ridge in reference to a trailer on complainant’s property. C/p stated she got home from work and saw the trailer in her yard loaded with misc items. Officers could not find a VIN on the trailer, and it did not have a tag.
Officer was dispatched to Richard St. in reference to a general alarm.
Officer observed a vehicle with expired registration, at which time he turned around to conduct a traffic stop. Officer observed the vehicle accelerate and turn onto Powell St., then W. Church St. and was observed using both lanes of travel. Officer activated his emergency equipment and the vehicle failed to stop, accelerating and a black cloud of smoke was emitted from the exhaust, and the vehicle appeared to lose power, then turn into EMC parking lot. Officer gave verbal commands for the driver to show his hands and he failed to comply. Once officer reached the rear of the vehicle, the driver door opened and driver was given commands to show his hands and he complied. Officer asked the driver whey he was attempting to flee, and he stated he did not try to run then stated when he saw officer turn around, he did press the gas pedal. Offender was advised to exit the vehicle due to not having a valid license. Officer observed offender holding an unknown object in his hand and instructed him to drop it at which time he attempted to turn around. Offender was detained and transported to EmCo Jail.
Officers were dispatched to Kite Rd. in reference to a trailer being in the middle of the intersection. The driver advised the tongue on the trailer broke, and they were getting equipment enroute to unload the trailer to make it easier to move it. A truck and chain were used to pull the trailer out of the intersection but was still in the roadway. Within a few minutes, heavy machinery arrived on scene and moved the trailer out of the roadway.
Officer responded to Dollar General in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Complainant stated the vehicle had been there for about a week and a half.
Officer was dispatched to S. Green St. in reference to a 911 hang-up call.
Officer was dispatched to King Circle Dr. in reference to a request for a report regarding child custody and a dispute. Complainant stated he contacted his child’s mother because the child was out of formula and a dispute occurred regarding money and obtaining milk for the child.
