December 26

Officers responded to Emanuel Medical Center ER in reference to a 61 year old female wanting to leave the hospital and was intoxicated. Officer gave the woman a courtesy ride home and helped her inside the residence.

Officer responded to Freedom Street in reference to a dispute between a mother and daughter. Complainant stated that she and her mother had been arguing and that she was about to leave. All parties were separated.

Officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a third party caller stating there was a homeless woman asking people for money. The woman stated that she had been staying there with consent from Walmart and was shown number of homeless shelters to call.

December 27

911 dispatched officers to Center Street in reference to an unwanted person. 911 advised that the offender was already gone but c/p would like to speak with officers. She stated that her mother was allowed to stay with her for a few days, but she began taking control of her home and started strowing things across the house. She wanted to press charges.

Officer was patrolling the area of North Main Street when he observed a black female in an alley staring at him. When approaching the woman, she was hesitant to speak. After checking her information, it was found that she had a warrant out of Lauren’s County for aggravated assault. Offender was arrested.

911 dispatched officers to Allen Street in reference to a dispute in progress. Both parties were placed under arrest.

Officers were dispatched to Allen Street in reference to a missing 11 year old male with autism. The child had been missing for approximately 10 hours prior to the call. The child was later located.

Officer was dispatched to Oliphant Street in reference to a damage to vehicle report. C/p stated she noticed damage to her vehicle after having her windshield fixed.

Officers responded to West Main Street in reference to a 911 hang up call. All parties at the location stated that no one called 911.

Officer was dispatched to Lee Street in reference to a dispute. One offender was arrested and the rest were separated.

Officer was dispatched to North Coleman Street in reference to the caller advising her daughter had been hit but was unsure who had hit her. C/p stated that it started at her residence on North Coleman. 911 cancelled dispatchers because they no longer needed assistance, but later were called back due to a male subject pushing and hitting two females.

December 28

Officers were dispatched to Lake Luck Drive in reference to a 911 hang up call. Upon arrival, officer spoke with the driver of a vehicle who seemed to be intoxicated. After testing, offender was arrested for DUI.

Officers were dispatched to Rainbow Ridge in reference to an animal cruelty complaint. C/p advised that her neighbors had a deceased dog laying bear a tree for approximately one and a half weeks. Animal control was contacted and offender was cited for animal cruelty.

Officer responded to Crump Street in reference to a report of an unwanted individual. C/p stated that offender had been attempting to “poach” a resident of Lakeside Care Home. C/p stated that he wished to have the offender, her son, and her grandson trespassed from the business.

Officer responded to the area of McLeod Drive and Stevens Drive for a report of a 2 year old toddler seen walking alone in the roadway. The child was no located.

Officers responded to West Pine Street in reference to a 911 hang up call. If was found that the subject that called had a warrant out and was arrested.

December 29

911 dispatched officers to a fire located on Advantage Street. The house was vacated and Swainsboro Fire took control.

Officers responded to West MLK for a subject riding by c/p’s residence despite having a TPO.

Officer was positioned at Durden-Hudson Funeral Home when a car with a tag light out passed officers. Officer conducted a traffic stop and suspected fentanyl was located. Offender was arrested.

Officer took a report at SPD in reference to damage to property. C/p stated that while he was parked at Walmart someone unknown to him crashed into the passenger side of his vehicle causing damage to the back cab and back quarter panel.

Officer was dispatched to West Church Street in reference to an unruly 16 year old juvenile. C/p stated that her son was very upset because he did not receive any Christmas presents.

Officer took a report at SPD. C/p stated that someone hit her vehicle causing a dent.

Officers responded to East Pine Street in reference to a possible burglary. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence and there were no missing items.

December 30

Officers responded to Franklin Memorial Library in reference to a complaint. C/p advised that an employee answered a call from a blocked number, the caller was breathing heavily as if he was committing provocative acts. Staff was advised not to answer blocked calls.

Officers responded to McLeod Bridge Road in reference to a damaged window complaint. C/p stated that she allowed the suspect to stay with her while she was looking for another place to live. She stated they had a disagreement regarding the cleanliness of offender’s room, and she was asked to leave.

911 dispatched officers to the area of Lee Street in reference to a 911 open line. C/p stated that a black male hit her son. Later, a black male was located and stated that the c/p’s son hit him first.

Officers responded to Piggly Wiggly in reference to a reported shoplifter. C/p stated that the incident was caught on camera where offender put items in his jacket pocket and left the store without paying.

911 dispatched officers to East Meadowlake in reference to tires being damaged due to debris in the roadway.

December 31

911 dispatched officers to West Moring Street in reference to a vehicle striking a tree. Vehicle was towed.

Officer was dispatched to Emanuel Medical Center in reference to a nurse who had been struck by a patient. The nurse stated that the offender was in the psychiatric ward for mental treatment. She did not want to press charges, she just wanted to make a report.

Officer was dispatched to South Green Street in reference to a report of simple battery. C/p stated that when he took his kids to their mother’s house, her boyfriend threatened him and hit his left arm. The suspect stated that it was only a verbal argument.

Offender was arrested for an active warrant.

Officers responded to East MLK in reference to a reported theft of services and tampering with a water meter. C/p stated that a resident failed to pay her water bill and a lock was placed on her water meter, but was cut.

January 1

Officer was dispatched to North Racetrack Street in reference to a dispute. C/p stated that she was trying to get her belongings but the offender would not let her.

Officer took a report at SPD for vehicle damage. C/p stated that her neighbor backed into her car but would not pay for the damages.

Officer observed a vehicle that produced excessive and unusual noise. Officer recognized the driver and later received a call complaining about the driver driving recklessly on South Main Street. Citations were issued.

Officer was dispatched to South Anderson Drive in reference to a child custody dispute. C/p stated that the father of her children would not release them to her.

Officer was dispatched to Hopkins Street in reference to a dispute. C/p stated that his father had been drinking and they got into a verbal altercation. The offender stated that he did not want his juvenile son at his residence anymore. Officer responded to South Green Street in reference to a call about child custody. C/p stated that the father of her children was late bringing the kids home and she was worried about the children.

Officers responded to Sutton Drive in reference to four wheelers making a lot of noise.

Officer responded to the area of North Main Street in reference to shots fired in the area. No reports of injury or damage to property were made.
