January 16
SPD was notified by Columbia Co. SO that they had offender with a warrant. Officer advised the warrant is valid and wanted a hold placed on offender.
Officer was dispatched to Center St. in reference to a dispute.
Officer observed a driver not wearing a seatbelt and the vehicle had no valid insurance and suspended registration, at which time he conducted a traffic stop. As he approached the vehicle, he could smell an odor of marijuana and asked the driver to exit the vehicle, at which time he observed the barrel of an AR-15 under the driver’s seat. During the search, three bags of marijuana residue inside the center console. Offender was placed under arrest and transported to EmCo Jail.
January 17
Officer observed a vehicle with altered suspension, at which time he made a traffic stop. Offender told officer he was not measuring correctly and advised the vehicle was in code. Officer made the decision to tow the vehicle due to numerous warnings and called for the next listed wrecker.
Officers were dispatched to the City Shop in reference to complainant stating someone pulled around the back then to the front and left when saw c/p.
Officers were dispatched to Youngblood St. in reference to a dispute.
Officer observed driver not wearing a seatbelt, at which time he initiated a traffic stop on Gumlog Rd. Officer asked the driver for her license and she was looking around for them and officer asked if she had a valid license and she stated no. Offender was placed under arrest and transported to EmCo Jail.
Officers responded to E. Pine St. in reference to a report of a man yelling at children. Complainant stated her neighbor was yelling at her grandchildren and using racial slurs.
Officer responded to All the Fixins’ in reference to complainant stating a cable stretched across the roadway struck his vehicle causing damages.
Officers responded to CM City in reference to an individual telling employees he entered the store while it was closed. Employees stated a male subject approached them and informed that they needed to check the rear door because he saw people messing with it and he even messed with it and got it open and walked into the storage room. Employees told the subject that law enforcement was being called and her ran off behind McDonald’s. Officers made contact with the male subject and upon speaking with him, it was determined they did not believe he entered the building with the intent to commit theft.
January 18
Officer responded to S. Main St. in reference to a private property dispute. Complainant stated when he pulled into the parking lot, offender was stopped in the middle of one of the traffic lanes and c/p sat there for a minute and when offender did not move, c/p blew the horn. C/p stated offender got out of the vehicle and began arguing with him, telling him to go around another way. C/p advised more words were exchanged and offender told him he could get back in his vehicle and leave or he would leave in an ambulance. C/p stated he was unaware offender had just been in a crash. Offender denied threatening c/p.
Officers responded to Jerome St. in reference to a female being locked out of her residence by her granddaughter.
January 19
Officer responded to Roadway Inn in reference to a welfare check on a 2-year-old. The child seemed happy and healthy, and the room was in order and there was food available for the child. Officer called the child’s mother and advised she was aware of her child being there with its father and that her sister was just trying to cause drama.
Officer was dispatched to King Circle Dr. in reference to a suspicious vehicle.
January 20
Officer was dispatched to Sunoco in reference to an unwanted person making threats towards the cashier. Complainant stated offender entered the store and was informed that there was no work available for him to do that day and he began cussing at her and made threatening statements. Business owner wanted offender trespassed from the property.
Officer was dispatched to Cricket Wireless in reference to an unwanted person. Complainant stated a male subject was outside the business harassing employees and wanted him criminally trespassed from the location. While running his info, it was discovered that he had an active warrant through ESCO and was placed under arrest and transported to EmCo Jail.
Officer was dispatched to Oaklawn Dr. in reference to a suicidal juvenile. The mother of the child stated that she told her son she was going to whip him and he said that he was going to kill himself. EMS arrived and the juvenile would not speak but after admitting he said he would kill himself, he was transported to EMC for evaluation.
Officer was dispatched to Meadowlake Pkwy in reference to the railroad arms flashing and not acting right.
January 21
Officer took a report in reference to complainant stating her 9mm pistol was taken from her bag by her husband on Canoochee Rd. C/p stated they are going through a divorce and offender is a convicted felon and took the firearm to Tom’s Pawn Shop and pawned it without her permission.
Officer took a walk-in report where complainant stated offender knocked on her door and asked if she knew who was parked in her parking space and was advised she did, and they were about to move, and offender got ugly with her and told her she had something for her in a threatening manner.
Officers were dispatched to W. Moring St. Apts. in reference to a medical welfare check due to complainant’s mother not answering the door or phone. Officer made forced entry through the front door and found c/p’s mother asleep and stated she did not hear anyone trying to make contact with her.
Officer was dispatched to Shades of Beauty in reference to a report of indecent exposure. C/p advised she was concerned for the mental health of offender.
Officers responded to Modoc Ext. in reference to a male subject stating he was receiving harassing phone calls. Complainant stated he and his girlfriend broke up and she continues to call his phone and since he stopped answering, her father and brother started calling and stated they would go to his residence and physically assault him.
Officers were dispatched to Cedar St. in reference to a missing person report. Complainant stated he had not spoken to his daughter since the day prior and thought she was in Statesboro. C/p advised that his daughter had a boyfriend that they don’t know anything about and his daughter turned her phone off. Officer put the vehicle tag into the flock system and got a hit in Chatham Co. Officers were advised to contact Chatham Co. to attempt to do a welfare check on the vehicle.
January 22
Officer responded to Book St. in reference to complainant having issues with her 17- and 15-year-old daughters. C/p advised that she took her daughters’ phones and they became irate.
Complainant reported that she is being stalked by her ex-boyfriend. C/p stated she blocked him and began receiving “No Caller ID” calls but would not answer.
Officer responded to WalMart in reference to a male subject that got mad with employees and appeared to have an altered mental status. Officer stated he went to get money that was sent to him and WalMart would not allow him to do it. He stated he would go in places to use the restroom and would not be allowed to do so and officer explained that he could not go in businesses and be rude to employees.
Officer responded to The Stockyard in reference to complainant stating offender walked up behind one the waitresses and put his hands on her shoulders while she was sweeping and stood really close to her and moved his hips side to side and the waitress stepped away. Offender was then observed walking towards a supply closet where other female employees were. Another encounter took place with another employee where she felt trapped between offender and boxes when he pushed his butt up against her.
Officer was conducting a search on offender on S. Anderson Dr. when he observed him on the north side of the property. Offender observed law enforcement vehicle and began walking fast towards the residence and entered the door under the carport. Officer entered and escorted offender back outside, then conducted a search of the residence to find a pill bottle containing a short cut straw with meth residue and a clear bag containing meth.
Officers responded to Mable Ave. in reference to an entering auto report and taking $50.
Officer responded to Mary Ann St. in reference to a suspicious person.
Officer arrested offender for probation violation and transported her to EmCo Jail.
Officer was dispatched to Family Dollar in reference to a fight. Officer observed several individuals running and leaving the area with one leaving at a high rate of speed. Contact was made with the mother of one offender who stated the incident was related to “baby mama and baby daddy drama”.
