November 20
Officers were dispatched to Happiness Dr. in reference to a welfare check. Before arriving, 911 advised that is sounded like a female subject was trying to talk but was slurring her words. Contact was made with a male and female subject who stated they were taking care of the woman due to her having surgery that day. Her daughter stated that she was trying to call her nurse, but it directed her to 911.
Officers were dispatched to the Gumlog Park in reference to an 18-year-old male having a seizure. Witnesses stated that they were playing basketball when the male got too hot and began seizing. Another witness advised that the male had been smoking cannabis. The male’s mother also advised that he had taken Percocet’s as well. He was transported by EMS to Emanuel Medical Center.
Officer was conducting speed detection on South Main St. near Swainsboro High School when a vehicle was observed traveling 47 MPH in a 35 MPH school zone. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver stated that he did not have a valid driver’s license and handed over a Mexico ID card. His driver’s license was found to be suspended and offender was arrested.
Complainant went into SPD and stated that his vehicle had been struck by a FedEx truck the day before.
Officer was dispatched to North Main St. in reference to a report of a damaged vehicle. Complainant stated that on November 11, he was in an accident and needed a report for insurance.
Officer was dispatched to North Main St. in reference to a welfare check. 911 advised that they received a phone call from the area of Northside Beverage from a female subject. Staff of Northside Beverage stated that no one called 911.
November 21
911 advised officers of a dispute in progress between neighbors on Solomon St. One of the neighbors stated that she had a new alarm system put in place on the backside of her home and an argument ensued over the neighbor stating that the cameras were on his dog in the back yard along with the light on the motion detector. All parties were separated.
Officer was advised by another off-duty officer that he had received a call regarding a male walking around the playground at Harmon Park and approaching vehicles. When making contact with offender, he stated that he was not approaching vehicles. Officers walked around his vehicle and could smell an odor of marijuana and located a small clear bag of a white powdery substance. Offender was arrested.
November 22
Officer was investigating a motor vehicle collision on Howard St. where offenders were arrested for DUI.
Officer met with complainant at Piggly Wiggly in reference to a food truck being parked in the parking lot without permission. The owner of the truck was instructed to leave.
Officer was dispatched to North Racetrack St. in reference to a verbal dispute between complainant and offender. C/p stated that the offender became upset about other men and began shouting at her and she wanted him to leave so he could calm down. Offender left on his own free will.
November 23
Officer responded to Queensborough Bank for an active alarm. Two women were seen in the building upon arrival, but it was discovered that they were employees of Queensborough who had an old alarm code.
Officers responded to Flanders St. for a dispute. Complainant stated that her son was arguing with her boyfriend and herself and she wanted him to leave. A family member was called to pick him up.
Officer responded to the 4-H center in reference to the caller stating that she was being attacked while attempting to take down party decorations. Upon arrival, it was observed that a vehicle was attempting to leave the scene and was stopped by another officer. All parties were separated and all involved did not wish to press charges.
November 24
Officer was dispatched to Gumlog Rd. in reference to the caller stating there had been appx. six shots fired in the area. Officers began canvassing the area, but no damages were located. Another call came in that the shots damaged c/p’s vehicle. No contact was made with an offender.
Officer was dispatched to South Main St. in reference to a reckless driver. Complainant stated that a vehicle was recklessly changing lanes and almost struck her vehicle.
Officer was on Lee St. to aid Swainsboro Fire with a c/p stating she felt like she was having a heart attack. The woman was picked up by EMS and transported to Emanuel Medical Center.
November 25
Officer was dispatched to Crump St. in reference to aiding another agency. Complainant stated that he had fallen and couldn’t get up. 911 also advised that he was being combative to the staff. EMS transported him to Emanuel Medical Center.
Officer responded to Piggly Wiggly in reference to a shoplifting incident. Offender was located and arrested.
Officer was dispatched to Modoc Rd. in reference to the caller stating her mother informed her that three unidentified men were armed with guns and appeared to be attempting to gain entry into her shed. She believed they were scared off by the dog.
Officer responded to Allen St. in reference to juveniles fighting. Contact was made with offender who was yelling and using foul language in the presence of several juveniles. Offender was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct. Parents of the juveniles were contacted.
Officer observed an abandoned vehicle on North Racetrack St. No contact was made with the owner.
Officer responded to Allen St. in reference to a problem with a person. The suspect had already left the scene. Complainant stated that the suspect went to her house accusing her of having an affair with suspect’s boyfriend. She also provided text messages of the suspect threatening her. A phone call was made to suspect, and she began threatening through the phone call, when the officer identified himself, the offender hung the phone up.
November 26
Officer took a call in reference to a theft. Complainant stated that she has been in the hospital for the past week and she gave her apartment key to the offender. When she arrived home, several household items were missing. Offender stated that the only things she took from the apartment were her grandson’s clothes and tablet.
Officers were dispatched to South Main St. in reference to a male who was observed walking and falling over. The male exhibited a strong odor of alcohol and slurred speech and was arrested for public intoxication.
911 dispatched officers to Gumlog Rd. and McLeod Bridge Rd. in reference to shots fired. Complainant stated that she was in bed and heard two gunshots. Officers were unable to locate the source of the shots.
Officer responded to Piggly Wiggly for a shoplifting incident. Offender was criminally trespassed from the store and was given a court date.
November 27
Officers responded to South Green St. and Mable Ave. in reference to a rolling domestic incident. All parties were separated.
Officer responded to Lakeside Rest Home in reference to a resident who had recently been discharged due to violent behavior toward staff. Offender was transported to Emanuel Medical Center for evaluation.
Officer responded to Lewis St. in reference to an unwanted guest at the residence. All parties were separated.
Officer responded to D&I Food Mart. Complainant stated offender hit him on the head and identified the subject. Both subjects were found to be intoxicated and were arrested.
