December 12

911 dispatched officers to East Pine Street in reference to a domestic that had already occurred. Complainant stated that she and the offender were hanging out, and she asked him about a female. He then got up, pushed her and punched her, causing her to fall over a fan. Offender stated that he was at her residence talking about finding care for their daughter when she mentioned a female and he got up to leave. She then placed herself between him and the door and he used his hands to move her out of the way.

Officer was dispatched to Emanuel Medical Center in reference to an older male who stated he was lost and had been driving for several hours attempting to get to Dollar General. He was shown how to use his GPS on his phone to get directions home.

Officer was dispatched to Kite Road in reference to a subject that was in a motorcycle accident. The subject stated that he drove it home and his wife insisted he go to the hospital, but he did not want to file a report.

911 dispatched officers to El Valle for a white male trying to fight everyone. The offender was highly intoxicated and stated that his daughter works there and has not received her check. The manager stated that the checks are in the mail, and no one has received theirs. Offender was arrested and criminally trespassed.

Officers were dispatched to Dollar General in reference to a dispute. C/p stated that the offender came into the store arguing with her about offender’s aunt being arrested for a shoplifting charge in Dollar General. The offender was advised that if she caused a scene in the store again, she would be criminally trespassed.

December 13

Officer took a walk-in report at SPD regarding a child custody dispute. C/p stated that her daughter was picked up by her father the day before from the grandparents’ residence. She then stated that this was not his court-ordered weekend and that she was unable to contact him. Officers contacted him and he agreed to return the child.

Officer was dispatched to Gumlog Road in reference to a report of debit card fraud. C/p stated that the offender is a friend of her son. On December 6, she, the offender, and others traveled together to Statesboro and while at a store the offender was left inside the vehicle with c/p’s debit cards. The next day, she noticed a charge of $160.00 that had been withdrawn from her account.

Officers were dispatched to South Main Street in reference to a dog at large. Officer had just left that location and saw the dog in the parking lot. The offender stated that the dog was his. It was found that he had an active warrant out and was arrested.

Officer responded to Walmart in reference to a reported shoplifting. C/p stated that the offender was an unknown black male who selected two items from the houseware section and proceeded to return those items at customer service.

Officer responded to Lewis Street in reference to a reported theft that occurred the previous day. C/p stated that when he returned home from work, he discovered that $120 had been stolen from his residence. He stated that he suspected his nephew to have stolen the money.

December 14

Officer was dispatched to Center Street in reference to a subject who was trying to get the last of his belongings from the residence. The subject was found to have a warrant and was arrested.

Officer was dispatched to Ponderosa Drive in reference to a welfare check. Upon arrival, no one was home.

Officer was dispatched to Lee Street in reference to a 911 hang up call. C/p stated that the offender had been net door at the neighbor’s house and started calling c/p’s mother bad names. Offender was asked to leave.

Officer responded to Lucky Street in reference to a dispute. C/p stated that he had pawned his truck to offender for the day for money to get a hotel room. When he attempted to get the vehicle back, the offender would not return it.

Officer was dispatched to Hickory Trace Circle in referent to c/p stating that her wallet was stolen from Walmart the evening before. Walmart advised that no one turned the wallet in.

Officer was dispatched to Neal Street in reference to a welfare check on an elderly female. No one was in the residence and c/p stated that she must have left with someone to go run errands.

December 15

Officer was dispatched to Youmans Avenue in reference to a suspicious item. It was determined that it was a tent cover.

Officer observed a red semi-truck stopped in the roadway at the intersection of Howard and Ben Street. The driver stated that he was following his GPS and did not see the sign that said no semi-trucks. The truck had pulled the cable lines down, but there was no damage to the vehicle.

December 16

Officer responded to Braswell Blvd in reference to a dispute. C/p stated that she got off work and came to the residence to see her kids and take a nap before having to go back to work. The children’s father started an argument with her and took her keys and when she tried to get them back, he pushed her.

SPD requested an officer in reference to a walk-in report. C/p stated that her husband threatened to kill her. She stated that he lives in Jacksonville, Floride and while on the phone with him over the weekend, he got angry with her and threatened her.

Officer met with c/p in reference to a transaction being made from her bank account that she did not make. She stated that she had been incarcerated and got out a few days’ prior, she when she checked her bank account, she saw multiple transactions that could not have been from her.

Officer was patrolling on South Main Street and noticed a vehicle that had a passenger side brake light out and conducted a traffic stop. A citation was issued.

December 18

Officers responded to Durden Bank for a welfare check due to an elderly female in a wheelchair sitting near the roadway. The woman stated that the lady she and been living with took her to the dentist and they had a verbal altercation and the woman left her in Swainsboro, they both live in Glennville.

Officer was on North Main Street for municipal court. The offender was called before the judge, and it was noted there was an odor of alcoholic beverage coming from her. She was arrested for probation violation.

Offender reported to SPD for court. It was learned he was wanted in Tattnall County and was arrested.
