Officers with the Swainsboro Police Department (SPD) reported…

December 4

Officers were on South Green Street conducting an investigation. During the course of the investigation, officers could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle also did not have his license on his person. After a search of the vehicle, marijuana was located in the vehicle and offender was arrested.

December 5

Officer responded to Enmarket in reference to a subject who was harassing the staff. The subject was seen walking out of the front entrance of the building. C/p stated that the subject had been there for hours and also touched her several times. She advised that she asked him to leave but he would not. The offender was trespassed from the business.

Officers responded to Lee Street in reference to a verbal dispute between a male and a female. Upon arrival, officers learned that the offender had already left the scene. C/p stated that the offender came to his residence yelling about a knocked over trash can. He advised that she and also been contacting him via text message, phone call, and emails despite him telling her not to contact him directly.

Officer took a walk-in report at SPD in reference to stolen property. C/p stated that he did not lock his truck the evening before. When he went to work the next morning, he noticed his laptop was missing and later found it being sold on Facebook Marketplace.

C/p came into SPD to report a private property accident that occurred the previous day. She stated that while her vehicle was parked, someone backed into it. Contact was attempted with the driver of the other vehicle but was negative at the time of the report.

Officer was sitting stationary on South Main Street when c/p walked to the patrol unit and stated that he had been struck in the head with a firearm and that his wallet and two phones had been taken. Officers obtained footage from a neighbor of the altercation.

Officer was dispatched to Lewis Street in reference to the caller stating that his uncle wanted him to leave the residence and advised that he pays rent and resides at that location. He stated that he contacted his uncle to ask if he could cook food in the residence and he told him to leave, he also stated that he has taken around $750 from him in the past 2 weeks. He further stated that the offender has mental health issues and he and his wife feel unsafe.

911 dispatched officers to the area of College Street for a male going down the street pulling car door handles. Contact was made with someone matching the description, but they denied being in that area.

Officer took a walk-in report at SPD in reference to a custody dispute. C/p stated that his son’s mother would not allow him to pick up his child for the weekend.

911 advised that a female caller requested officers to meet her at the intersection of Gumlog Road and West MLK to make a report regarding someone hitting her vehicle as she drove by.

December 6

Officer responded to Harris Street in reference to damaged property. C/p stated that he parked his vehicle and locked it before going inside, he later went back to his vehicle and noticed it was unlocked with the front passenger window busted out of it. The glovebox was also found to be open.

Officer responded to Piggly Wiggly in reference to a man stating he wanted to hurt himself behind the building. He was transported to EMC for evaluation.

911 dispatched officers to South Green Street in reference to a verbal dispute. C/p stated that the offender had been arguing with her most of the morning and that she wanted him to leave the residence.

Officer responded to Pugsley Street in reference to an unwanted person. Upon arrival, officer observed a male and a female, with the female appearing to push someone down. The offender was seen underneath the offender and was actively fighting and cussing. Offender was arrested due to offender being trespassed from the residence a week prior.

Officer responded to Sycamore Street in reference to the caller stating she and her husband had been separated and he was at the residence and she wanted officers there before she asked him to leave.

December 7

Officers responded to Emanuel Medical Center ER in reference to a black male who was yelling and making threats toward staff. Upon arrival, officers spoke with staff, who stated offender was screaming and threatening to “shoot up the hospital”. Offender was arrested for disorderly conduct. December 8

911 dispatched officers to Booker Street. C/p stated that offender had been calling, messaging, and showing up to her home uninvited. She stated that she and the offender were together at one point and since the breakup, she told him to leave her alone. She stated that he was at her residence banging on her door and was about to try to bust the windows out.

Officer was dispatched to South Main Street in reference to an entering auto. C/p stated that when they left band practice, he found the door to his truck open with several items missing.

Officers were dispatched to Lewis Street in reference to the caller stating someone had broke into her vehicle and took paperwork. She stated it happened in Augusta and was advised to get a report with Augusta PD due to it being out of jurisdiction.

December 9

Officer took a walk-in report at SPD. C/p stated that while on her way to work, she struck two trash cans in a rental while swerving to miss a dog on New Street.

Officers were dispatched to Lee Street and Lucky Street in reference to a black male wearing all black clothes who pointed a firearm at c/p. Offender was located and arrested.

Officer was dispatched to West Church Street in reference to the caller stating that someone dropped a trailer off at the property neighboring his and that two white males had just pulled up trying to retrieve it. The property caretaker stated that he did not know who the trailer belonged to and that he wished to have it removed from the property.

Officers were dispatched to Emanuel Medical Center in reference to a male and female fighting. The female stated that she and her child’s father had come to the ER due to her experiencing a medical issue. She stated the male went outside to smoke and she knocked it out of his hand and he began punching her. Both individuals were arrested.

Officer was dispatched to North Green Street in reference to an unwanted person. The offender was advised to leave.

Officer was dispatched to Center Street in reference to a domestic in progress. Officers were also advised that the offender stabbed c/p with a knife. Offender had run into the roadway to escape the female who had stabbed him. The female left the scene. The alleged offender stated that she did not know that man and no charges were pressed.

Officer was standing at Lewis Street for another call when he saw a subject dressed in all black move across the parking lot. The offender refused to give his information and continued walking away and hiding from officers. Identification was finally given.

December 10

Deputies requested assistance on a call in reference to an individual who had active warrants. Offender was located and arrested.

Officer conducted a traffic stop on offender due to an active warrant. Offender was arrested.

Officer observed a vehicle with cancelled registration and conducted a traffic stop. Offender appeared to be nervous and was asked to exit the vehicle due to knives being in his reach. After a search of the vehicle, drug related objects were located and offender was arrested.

Officer responded to Mike’s Food Mart in reference to a black female refusing to pay for a lottery ticket. Officers were advised that the woman had left the scene. The owner stated that he did not want to press charges at this time, but if the suspect returned to the business, he requested a trespass warning.

December 11

Officer responded to The Barber Shop in reference to two males arguing. C/p stated that the offender owed him money for the rental of a barber chair and was refusing to pay.

Officer responded to Pughsley Street in reference to an aggressive dog. Animal control took possession of the dog.

C/p came into SPD to report a single-vehicle accident at Ay Wey Mexican restaurant. He stated that he struck a cement culvert on the passenger side of the vehicle.

Officer was dispatched to Domino’s Pizza. The caller stated that one of the delivery drivers attempted to deliver an order and the customer tried to pay with a counterfeit $50 bill.

911 dispatched officers to Moore’s Care Home in reference to an upset resident who threw his walker at a caregiver because they would not give him a cigarette.
