September 25
Officers were notified by 911 that ECSO asked for assistance in looking for a vehicle that was involved in a shooting. Officer observed a vehicle matching the description parked in a dark wooded area of Swainsboro Apts. Officer approached the vehicle to find two occupants and the passenger slid down in the seat as if he was trying to avoid being seen. Officers approached the vehicle and observed the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle, multiple empty bags of marijuana and crumbs were found. Driver stated they smoked and threw the “roach” out. EGSC PD was notified, and the incident was turned over to them.
Officer observed a vehicle with no license place, at which time he conducted a traffic stop. Driver stated the vehicle did not have valid insurance and it was found to not be registered. Vehicle was towed.
Officer met with complainant at McDonald’s in reference to someone hitting her vehicle.
Officer was dispatched to Mitchell St. in reference to a dispute. Complainant stated offender had already left. Officers located offender not far from the residence.
Officer met with complainant who stated she left her $40 in the register at WalMart and was advised by an employee that she did not see anyone at the register after her. Officer went inside and watched video footage to find a female walk up to the register and take the money.
Officer was dispatched to Paris Ave. in reference to a dispute.
Officer observed a vehicle in the center lane on S. Main St. with no tag displayed. Driver advised he was having car trouble. Officer asked the driver when he purchased the vehicle, and he stated a week ago. Officer asked the driver for his license, and he provided a FL license. Officer then asked the driver where he lived, and he stated in Stillmore and has been for about a year. Officer ran the driver’s license to find he is not licensed, and the tag came back as Treutlen County with ownership ceased and the tag expired in 2023. Officer requested backup due to the driver shaking and very nervous acting. Officer was informed that the vehicle was stopped a couple months ago, and it had a paper tag on it. Driver was asked again when he purchased the vehicle, and he stated two months ago. Officer then spoke with the female in the vehicle, and she advised the vehicle was purchased in May. Vehicle was towed.
September 26
Officer was dispatched to Mary Ann St. in reference to an alarm call.
Officer was dispatched to Wells Dr. in reference to a noise complaint.
Officer was dispatched to N. Green St. in reference to sexual assault. Complainant had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from her person and stated offender started to touch her shoulders and proceeded to reach down and lift her dress up and attempted to take her panties off. C/p stated she told him she was not comfortable with that, and he stopped, and she called her son and told him what happened, and he went to the residence and confronted offender, and he left. Officer found offender and transported him to EmCo Jail.
Officer met with victim who stated offender would not give him his paycheck. C/p stated he quit the job about three weeks ago and kept asking offender for his paycheck but keeps being told he is out of town. C/p advised offender owes him $228.
Officers were dispatched to Mitchell St. in reference to a suspicious person. Complainant stated she observed an unidentified male subject standing near her front door.
Officer responded to W. Church St. in reference to a domestic dispute.
Officer observed a vehicle traveling 56 MPH in a 35 MPH zone, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. The vehicle came back with suspended registration and no insurance. Vehicle was towed.
Officers were dispatched to Rainbow Ridge in reference to caller’s boyfriend attempting to break into a vehicle. Complainant stated she and her boyfriend got into an argument and she wanted him to leave.
Officer observed a vehicle fail to move over, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. Officer could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Driver stated his wife had smoked and it was in the passenger side door, and it was hers. Upon searching the vehicle, officer found a tin container inside the passenger door with two rolled joints and asked the driver where the rest was at and he stated in a bag in the backseat. Both offenders were transported to EmCo Jail, and the vehicle was towed.
Officer ran the tag on a vehicle to find the registration was suspended, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. Uon running the driver’s license, it was found to be suspended.
September 27
Officers were dispatched to Lee St. in reference to caller stating she had taken a large number of pills. Female was advised to have active warrants for her arrest. Offender was placed under arrest and taken to EMC ER and refused to exit the patrol unit. Offender had to be physically removed and taken inside. Offender was medically cleared and transported to EmCo Jail.

Officers were dispatched to Longview Rd. in reference to a dispute.
Officer was dispatched to Freedom St. in reference to a domestic dispute.
September 28
Officers responded to Lee St. In reference to two juveniles fighting.
Officer was dispatched to King Circle Dr. in reference to a suspicious person. Officer observed the male subject matching the description and was advised by his mother that he has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and advised she is arranging for him to receive a medical evaluation.
Officer was dispatched to Mary Ann St. in reference to an open door.
Officer responded to D&I in reference to a panic alarm. Complainant advised he put the code in wrong causing the alarm to go off.
Officer was dispatched to N. Anderson Dr. in reference to a report of missing items. Complainant stated she and her spouse were being vacated due to no payment and had to leave items. C/p stated she notified management that they would return to get the items and when they returned, multiple items were missing.
September 29
Officer spoke with complainant who stated she hit a pothole on Calhoun St., and it bent her rim and popped her tire.
Officer was dispatched to Colegrove Dr. in reference to an alarm.
September 30
Officers were dispatched to Lewis St. in reference to shots fired. Complainant stated he was driving down Lewis St. when his window was shot.
Officer conducted a traffic stop regarding window tint. Offender was driving without a valid license and was transported to EmCo Jail.
Officer took a walk-in report where complainant stated her vehicle was damaged.
Officer was dispatched to WalMart in reference to two children entering into the automotive department and unable to find their mother. Complainant advised offender left the scene with the victims, one being 5 to 6 years old and the other being 6 to 9 months old. C/p stated the 5-6-year-old entered the department carrying the 6-9-month-old and began asking for help to find their mother and gave her name. Employees paged the mother twice before she entered the department and immediately became irate and grabbed the children and left.
Officer was dispatched to Center St. in reference to a theft. Complainant stated her grill was stolen from her front porch.
Officer met with complainant who stated numerous campaign yard signs were placed in different yards throughout the city limits and have been removed. Signs were turned into the City Hall and c/p was notified and advised they could be retrieved from there.
Officers were dispatched to DFACS in reference to a female throwing chairs and acting irate. Offender was observed walking to her vehicle making threats to an employee and boasting a fighting posture using fighting gestures. When officer approached her, she stated she would stab him if he touched her. Offender then locked herself in her vehicle. Officer advised her that she was under arrest, and she needed to exit the vehicle, and she continued to be verbally combative, refusing to comply, then opened the door. Officer attempted to pull offender out of the vehicle and gave verbal commands to stop resisting and remained physically and verbally combative, making threats and kicking and spitting at officers. Officers were advised that offender became aggressive because she was told she could not apply for food stamps because she was not eligible. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
Officer was dispatched to S. Coleman St. in reference to a stolen vehicle report. Officer observed truck tire prints and dig marks that led him to believe the vehicle was repossessed. Officer then learned that TitleMax had the vehicle listed for repossession.
Officer was dispatched to WalMart in reference to complainant advising he left his friend keep his healthy food card and food stamp card for safekeeping two or three months ago and he had tried to contact offender multiple times, and she won’t answer the phone. Victim was advised to call and cancel his cards.
EGSC Police Chief contact SPD to aid in filing a juvenile complaint. EGSC had a Ranger stolen from the campus parking lot and offender became a suspect through field interviews and security camera footage. Offender was recently named in a theft of personal items and was said to have stolen the Ranger. Officers obtained a search warrant for the residence on E. Main St. where offender lives with his mother, and all items were found. Offender was detained.
Officer was dispatched to Shepard Dr. in reference to a burglary. Complainant stated an envelope with $360 had been stolen and suspected a known male subject to have taken it due to him being the only person that knew it was in the house.
Officer was dispatched to N. Green St. in reference to damage to property.
October 1
Officer was dispatched to assist DJJ with taking custody of offender. Offender was barricaded in a bedroom and was irate. Offender was transported to Ogeechee MH and turned back over to DJJ.
Officer responded to Wendy’s in reference to the theft of a purse.
Officer was dispatched to N. Main St. in reference to a 911 hang-up call and was advised the call was made accidentally.
Officer was dispatched to Lucky St. in reference to shots being fired.
Officers were dispatched to Oaklawn Dr. in reference to a welfare check. Resident stated everything was fine and had been sick and had not been in contact with anyone because her phone was malfunctioning. Officers were dispatched to W. Pine St. in reference to a 911 hung-up call. It was determined the call must have been made accidentally.
Officers were dispatched to W. Main St. in reference to a report of a suspicious person in complainant’s yard.
Officer was dispatched to Nassau St. in reference to an alarm.
Officer observed a vehicle turn in the oncoming lane on Electric Dr., at which time he initiated a traffic stop. K9 showed up and gave a positive alert and a needle half filled with meth was found under the seat. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
October 2
Officer was dispatched to W. Main St. in reference to a large amount of water in the roadway.
Officer responded to WalMart in reference to a suspicious incident. Complainant stated he was in the bathroom stall when a male subject in the stall beside him reached under the stall and began rubbing his ankle and foot, then making sexual sounds and profanity. A visual of the male was provided by WalMart leaving the bathroom and store.
Officer responded to Lee St. in reference to juveniles allegedly jumping over a fence. Complainant stated a group of younger boys had been jumping over his fence and caused it to collapse. Nearby residents stated the fence had been in poor condition for over a year and additional information was provided indicating the juveniles did not jump over the fence but leaned against it causing it to fall due to existing damage.
