July 6
Deputies were called to a report of the victim making threats to harm herself. 911 advised that she had already done harm to herself and was transported to the hospital by EMS.
July 9
Deputies executed an arrest warrant on Sumner Rd. in Adrain. Deputies made contact with offender’s mother and informed her that her son had two warrants for his arrest, and she was confused because he had just been released from jail and she did not understand why he was being locked up again. Deputies explained that new charges were brought up doe to further investigations. She then advised deputies that offender was in the back room asleep. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
Deputies responded to Piney Grove Rd. in reference to a theft report. Complainant stated he was alerted that the HVAC unit was stolen from his residence.
Complainant stated someone tore his daughter’s mailbox down and when he checked it, he found a dead rattlesnake in it.
Investigator was traveling on N. Coleman St. when he observed a vehicle cross the double yellow line, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. Driver stated he had just got off of work and his legs were tired. Upon a search, meth was found in the vehicle.
July 11
Deputy observed a vehicle fail to maintain its lane multiple times, at which time he conducted a traffic stop on Pendleton Springs Rd. While gathering everyone’s info, deputy could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Upon a search of the vehicle, deputy located a small metal tube with rubber on one end and stranded copper in the other end, as well as a crystal-like substance inside of it which was believed to be meth. Upon further search, deputy found a sued syringe and two cut straws with white powdery residue. Once occupant was transported to EmCo Jail.
Deputy was notified of a theft on Paula Ln. Victim stated he sold appx. 100 bales of pine straw to an unknown male subject and discovered the money was fake.
July 12
Complainant owns a residence on Dellwood Main St. and has been renting part of it to offenders and has served them with an eviction notice and they have not left.
Deputy responded to Jet Food Store in Adrian in reference to a dispute with someone threatening to retrieve a handgun. 911 advised that offender left headed towards Wrightsville and a Johnson Co. deputy made contact with the vehicle and escorted him back to the store. Deputy was informed that offender had suspected illegal narcotics inside the vehicle and made contact with him. Video footage was retrieved and offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
Deputy was dispatched to Kersey Rd. in reference to a burglary. Complainant stated suspects were leaving the cabin returning to their vehicle parked in front of the gate. Deputy was walking down the trail towards the cabin and observed two male subjects walking towards him and used his weapon and gave verbal commands to stop on get on the ground and they both complied. Deputy asked where the third individual was and they stated he ran for some reason. Signs of forced entry were observed, and both subjects were transported to EmCo Jail. A prison ID card was found in the vehicle identifying the third subject that fled.
