May 10
Deputies met with Med4 on 5th Ave. in reference to an unresponsive male subject who possibly overdosed on fentanyl or meth. After several minutes of performing life saving measures and Narcan, subject regained consciousness and was transported to EMC.
Deputies responded to Blundale Church Rd. in reference to a verbal domestic dispute. Complainant stated her boyfriend/offender became upset and was throwing things inside the house because she was trying to clean up and moved some of his things. C/p stated offender was upset and irate to the point that she and her son went to their neighbor’s house. Deputies attempted to make contact with offender who had already left but had negative contact. C/p advised that she has started the eviction process on offender and that may have triggered him also. C/p stated she and her son were leaving for a few days.
May 11
Deputy was dispatched to the area of Odomville Church Rd. in reference to a possible vehicle crash. Deputy observed a vehicle with substantial damage, and it was unoccupied and locked. Deputy noticed a child safety seat upside down in the front passenger seat and made the decision to make entry into the vehicle to confirm no injured persons were inside. Deputy also observed several open containers of alcohol. Vehicle was towed and deputy made contact with the registered owner who stated she had been in a crash, but an unknown person stopped and gave her a ride back to Dublin. Driver later returned to Swainsboro and was issued several citations.
May 13
Deputy took a report at the Sheriff’s Office in reference to fraudulent activity. C/p states that someone has stolen her social security number along with hacking all of her social media accounts. She also stated that her Amazon account was hacked and the offender attempted to make a purchase on her account for $500.
May 14
Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with headlights turned off. Upon approaching the vehicle, an odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle. Offender was arrested.
Deputy received a call in reference to a female walking in the middle of the road on Keas Mill Pond Road. Upon arrival, there was a bulge in the woman’s jacket that was found to have meth residue in it. Offender was arrested.
Deputy responded to Stingray Road in reference to nuisance animals. Upon arrival chickens were observed roaming free next to the road. A citation was written to the owner.
Deputy took a call in reference to a TPO violation. C/p stated that the offender who he has a TPO on pulled up next to the pump he was getting gas from and began yelling at him.
C/p stated that he purchased a new vehicle thinking he would be issued a new tag number and scrapped the old tag. He then stated that he needed a report to be issued a new tag.
May 16
Complainant called 911 to report an incident of terroristic threats. C/p stated she and a group of friends to an ATV park and got into a fight and one of the friends got locked up. Now offenders are blaming c/p for the friend getting locked up and has threatened to do bodily harm to her.
Deputy was dispatched to Herndon Rd. in reference to a male subject screaming at caller. Complainant stated her brother/offender was harassing her and screaming at her and followed her down the road in his vehicle while she was walking and stopped to harass her. Deputy spoke with offender who stated he tries to talk to his sister and tell her she is living wrong. Deputy advised him to stay away from her and not be screaming across the yard at her or following her in the vehicle.
May 17
Deputy responded to Red Roof Inn in reference to a report of stolen property. Complainant started he met an individual to see a 15” speaker and in exchange of the item, the male pulled off and left without paying for it. C/p stated offender told him he was going to the front of the store to obtain money from the ATM but left without doing so. C/p provided the tag number which is registered to someone in Vidalia. Deputy asked 911 to notify Toombs Co. to be on the look-out for the vehicle. C/p was able to positively identify offender from the DL photo. Deputy spoke with the attendant of the store to obtain video footage.
