April 6
Victim made a report in reference to fraudulent activity. She advised she thought she was speaking with Facebook security about an issue regarding the sale of a camper and allowed the subject to remote view into her phone. Victim later found all of her money had been taken from her Chime account which was her SS disability funds.
Deputies responded to Old Nunez Rd. to execute an arrest warrant. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
Deputy took a walk-in report in reference to money being stolen. Complainant stated she allowed offender to put her cellphone inside her car during court and offender retrieved her phone and $80.
April 7
Deputy was dispatched to Drew Bennett Rd. in reference to a possible repossessed vehicle. Victim stated he heard a loud truck outside and saw a tow truck hooking up to his vehicle and stated he was caught up on payments. When victim showed deputy his statement, he was late on a few payments.
Deputy was dispatched to Scarboro Church Rd. in reference to nuisance noise coming from the Bitcoin Factory. Complainant stated that ever since the factory moved to the end of the road, it has been nothing but a major noise nuisance. C/p stated that at times, the noise is so loud she can’t sleep at night and wears hearing aids which makes the noise level even more unbearable. C/p informed deputy that several of their elderly neighbors are having the same complaints.
Deputy took a report in reference to a stolen 4-wheeler. Complainant stated her child’s father told her he saw it going down Pinetucky Rd. a couple days prior and c/p believed it was at known offender’s residence. Deputy followed c/p to offender’s house and offender advised that c/p knew it was there and it had been for about two weeks. The 4-wheeler was returned to c/p’s residence.
Deputies assisted TCPD with a call on 5th Ave. in reference to a dog at large and a male subject living inside a camper. Upon a search, a small bag of meth and a glass pipe were found. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
April 10
Deputies wr4e dispatched to Kemp Rd. in reference to complainant stating her neighbor has a water diversion on his property that causes water to flow onto hers and she has had to have 600 tons of clay put on the property to keep the water off. C/p stated she believes it is possibly sewage or a mixture of sewage and diesel fuel due to the smell.
April 11
Complainant stated he hit a deer on Hwy 80 W causing moderate damage to his vehicle.
Report was made in reference to a Bell South internet box being struck and damaged by an unknown vehicle.
