According to the Emanuel County Sheriff’s Office…
January 11
Deputies were dispatched to the area of Buck Corbin Road and Fish Whitehead Road in reference to a brush fire. 911 advised a caller had witnessed a vehicle leave the area. While searching the area for the vehicle, Swainsboro Police made a traffic stop on a suspected DUI driver with a vehicle matching the description of the truck from the incident location. Offender was arrested.
Deputy was patrolling the area of HWY 23 North near the dumpsite when a vehicle was observed with a female diving into the dumpsters. A search was conducted of her vehicle and methamphetamine was found. Offender was arrested.
January 12
Complainant stated that a deer left the shoulder of the roadway and entered his lane of travel. Vehicle had slight damage to the right front bumper, grill, fender and fog light.
C/p stated that she was traveling west on McLeod Bridge Road near the intersection of Wood Chuck Road and stated that she moved over to let a vehicle pass her. She then stated that she moved her vehicle too far over and slid over into the ditch.
January 14
Deputy responded to Quail Lake Dr. in reference to a physical altercation.
Complainant called ECSO stating someone stole his Turtle Box.
Deputy observed a vehicle with suspended registration and the owner had active arrest warrants through Candler County, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. Deputy observed offender in the passenger seat and requested IDs from the driver and passenger. Deputy confirmed the passenger to be the owner and had the warrant confirmed. Deputy learned the driver also had active arrested warrants through ECSO and Candler County and confirmed the warrants. ECSO and Candler County wanted holds placed on offenders. One was transported to Candler Co. line, and the other was transported to EmCo Jail.
January 15
Deputy responded to Red Oak Rd. in reference to a domestic. Complainant stated offender threatened to do harm to her and her house due to offender being told to leave. C/p stated she is in fear for her life and was explained the TPO process.
January 16
Deputies executed an arrest warrant on offender on Lindsey Rd.
Complainant reported her daughter missing and was last seen in Augusta and made contact with Richmond County. C/p advised her daughter is autistic and does not have a driver’s license. BOLOs were put out on victim, and she showed up at her residence.
January 18
Deputy was dispatched to Miller Dr, in reference to a subject having a mental health episode. Subject left the residence walking and was picked up by SPD officer and dropped off at the residence. Subject stated he had to sleep in the shed in the back yard and was locked out of the house and was mad because it was cold. Deputy then asked his mom about being locked out and she stated it was not true. She stated her son has not been taking his medicine and was upset because she would not give him the car keys because she wasn’t going to let him drive under his condition.
