According to the Emanuel County Sheriff’s Office…
October 7
Deputies responded to Glenwood Dr. in reference to a domestic dispute. Victim stated he and his brother/offender got into an argument and offender pulled a gun out and hit him in the head.
Deputies went to King Cir. Dr. to execute an incarceration order. Offender was informed he had an order through Laurens County and was transported to Laurens C. line and turned over.
Deputy took a walk-in report where complainant stated she rented her home to offender and allowed her to skip the first month’s rent to help her out, but offender did not pay the deposit of the following month’s rent. C/p stated she asked offender to move out, and she took two window units, a mailbox, heater AC/unit and adjustable bed frame, and the house was left in a mess. C/p advised she is at a loss of $2,500 in unpaid rent and $500 in an unpaid electric bill.
Complainant stated she was traveling on I16 and struck a blown tire that came off a tractor trailer. C/p’s vehicle had the front bumper torn off and numerous warning signs pop up on the dash. Vehicle was removed by wrecker service.
Deputies responded to Blackberry Rd. in reference to a theft.
October 8
Complainant stated offender filed a false report of crime against him and keeps harassing him.
Deputy responded to Caraway’s in reference to an altercation. Complainant stated he had been playing lottery machines with two other individuals and when a gentleman got up from his machine, he cashed out and left his phone sitting on the machine. C/p stated he waited appx. 5-10 minutes for the gentleman to return but he went to the counter and purchased lottery tickets leading c/p to believe he was finished with the machine, but the gentleman returned, and an altercation ensued over the use of the machine. C/p advised the gentleman told him he would be waiting outside and he would shoot him. Witness stated c/p became irate and suspect never made any threat and stated he was done anyway and grabbed his belongings and left.
October 10
Deputies responded to Pike Johnson Rd. in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Deputies located a vehicle in the ditch, and the driver had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from his person. Driver was arrested for DUI and transported to EmCo Jail.
Deputy was dispatched to Fairground Rd. in reference to a stolen vehicle. Complainant stated he repossessed the vehicle, and it was taken from the premises. Deputy informed Johnson County that it was repossessed and not stolen.
Deputy took a walk-in report where complainant stated her tag was lost or stolen off her vehicle.
Deputy met with victim in reference to fraudulent activity. Victim stated she was contacted by suspect who advised he was selling home warranty insurance and victim provided her Mastercard, Medicare and social security numbers. Victim stated $149.99 was charged for the insurance and she had not received any further information on the policy or warranty info. Victim stated she began receiving calls advising a computer had been purchased on her Verizon account for appx. $1,000 and she did not make the purchase.
Deputies were dispatched to the JAG office in reference to an individual with drugs on him. Probation Officer informed offender he was supposed to have a drug test conducted but he refused when he did not empty his pockets and admitted that he had meth and a pipe in his pocket. Deputy asked offender to empty his pockets, and he pulled out meth, a pipe, a torch lighter and synthetic urine. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
Deputy spoke with complaiant in reference to property damage. C/p stated he had been away from the residence on Green Grove Church Rd. and offender went to his residence. C/p advised he found a vehicle on his property that was covered with a tarp was damaged with a bullet hole and the driver side window busted out. C/p stated he spoke to offender and learned he had been firing a gun while at the residence and initially agreed to pay to replace the window. C/p stated when he told offender it would be $350 to repair it, offender refused to pay.
October 11
Deputy took a walk-in report where complainant stated he owns a house on Antioch Rd. and witness contacted him and informed him that he saw a man in the top part of c/p’s house and asked what he was doing there, and he stated he was getting the wire out. Witness told suspect to leave the wire, and if he took it, charges would be pressed. Witness returned to the home to find the wire was gone. Vehicle came back to suspect on Scuffletown Rd.
Victim stated he was at his shop on Walnut Ln. when he heard two gunshots and a dog whimper. Victim called his wife and told her to check on their dogs, and she called back and told victim one of them was bloody. Victim then went to look for their other dog and found him shot and had to take them to Savannah to an emergency vet, where one died. Victim believes the shooter to be a known male subject.
Deputy was dispatched to Lindsey Rd. in reference to a nuisance animal. Complainant stated offender’s dogs keep going in his yard and on some occasions, have tried to attack his children. C/p stated he asked offender to keep her dogs in her yard and away from his residence, but she has failed to do so. Deputy noted multiple dogs in c/p’s yard not on runners and they did not appear to be aggressive. AC1 responded and removed three of the dogs. C/p and parties living at offender’s residence were verbally aggressive towards each other.
Deputies responded to Sunset Inn in reference to a domestic disturbance call. Deputies were initially advised that the female was the victim who had been assaulted by the male, however upon further investigation with video evidence, the male subject was the victim, and the female was the primary aggressor.
October 12
Deputies responded to N. Railroad Ave. in Garfield. Complainant stated she observed her husband get a clear bag handed to him from their neighbor and she believes it was cocaine, and she knows their neighbor sells drugs. C/p stated that once her husband got the bag, he took off in his work truck. C/p advised her husband is on probation and has been acting like he has relapsed because he has been drinking heavily, and she has found marijuana around the house. C/p advised she tried to call offender’s probation officer but could not reach her.
Deputies were dispatched to Sally Cir. in reference to a physical domestic dispute. Victim stated he and offender got into an argument that runed physical when offender started punching him. Victim stated offender tried to leave in his truck, but he would not let her, so she “stabbed” him in the arm with the truck key. Victim stated offender was physically striking him while he was holding his 3-year-old child. Victim advised he was eventually able to make contact with offender’s father who arrived and removed her from the residence. Victim stated he did not want to press charges but wanted offender to get her belongings and not return to the residence.
Deputy was dispatched to Elm St. in reference to a domestic dispute. C/p stated she recently had a stroke and believes her ex-boyfriend/offender and his new girlfriend put a camera in her bedroom.
October 13
Complainant called 911 in reference to a domestic dispute between her and her boyfriend. C/p stated offender started yelling at her and pushed her out the door and off the porch.
