It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Nellie Joyce Green, age 60, of Satsuma, FL on Monday, October 12, 2026, at Kindred Hospital in Green Cove Springs, FL. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 31, at 1 p.m. at Springhill Baptist Church with refreshments following for family and friends to share cherished memories and offer support.
Nellie was born February 2, 1966, in Swainsboro, to Nellie J. Moore (Lamar) and Edward Smith. She was a long-time resident of Swainsboro and moved to Satsuma, FL, but was recently planning to move back home with her love, Maynard Breeden. Nellie discovered a passion for hunting and loved Elvis Presley and the Georgia Bulldogs. Nellie will forever be remembered for her outgoing personality and words of encouragement. Mrs. Green is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Randall Green; sister, Brenda; grandparents; Elyce Seigler Marsh (Fred); brother-in-law, Randall Atkinson; niece, Robin; son-in-law, C.J. Hamilton; and her beloved fur baby, Bull.
Mrs. leaves behind two daughters, Melissa Ely-Harvey (Ronnie Bolton) and Becky Hamilton; grandchildren, Jake and Kenneth Brabazon, Sea-Jay and Nevaeh Hamilton and lil Corey; sisters, Julia Atkinson, Ollie Stevens (Doyle) and Linda Forehand (Randy); and brother, David Smith.
