Franklin Memorial Library to host September activities

Franklin Memorial Library has a variety of programs and activities planned throughout September for children, adults, veterans, and families in the community. Toddler Time will be held every Friday at 10:30 a.m., offering young children and their caregivers an opportunity to enjoy stories, activities, and time together at the library. The library will also host its Veterans Breakfast every Monday at 9:15 a.m., providing veterans an opportunity to gather for fellowship. Throughout September, the library will host a Halloween Coloring & Poem Contest for all ages. Participants are encouraged to get creative and submit their entries by October 1. Contest winners will be announced on October 8. Other upcoming September programs include Deana’s Dash of Delish and Children’s Craft on September 17, including the Fall Festival on September 19 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The Fall Festival is open to participation from local clubs, organizations, and businesses. The library encourages community groups and businesses interested in participating to contact library before the festival. Community participation is welcomed and encouraged as the library celebrates the fall season with locals. The library’s Fall Book Sale will take place September 15-19, with the sale open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9 to 11:30 a.m. The library will also host an Adult Craft on September 22 at 5 p.m., and Kid’s History Club on September 28 at 3:30 p.m. The Kid’s History Club is geared toward children ages 6-11.
