The Emanuel County Schools Workforce Development Team recently attended the Governor’s Workforce Summit in Atlanta, where they worked with education, business, and workforce leaders from across Georgia to explore strategies to strengthen the state’s talent pipeline and improve connections between students and high-demand career opportunities.
In addition to attending the Summit, members of the Emanuel County team are participating in the Governor’s Office of Education and Workforce Strategy (GOEWS) Career Navigation Collaborative, contributing to the development of the new Georgia CONNECTS Career Navigator. This statewide initiative aims to enhance career navigation by linking students and Georgians with education and training opportunities, career pathways, workforce resources, and employers.
Emanuel County Schools’ involvement provides an opportunity to bring a rural education and workforce perspective to this important statewide work while also ensuring our students are positioned to benefit from emerging career-navigation resources.
Through Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE), EDGE College & Career Academy, dual enrollment, Work-Based Learning, and partnerships with local businesses and industries, Emanuel County Schools remains committed to strengthening the local workforce pipeline by connecting students to opportunities that lead from the classroom to credentials, college, and careers.
