The EDGE (Educate, Develop, Grow Emanuel) College and Career Academy Board of Directors met on November 19 at the Southeastern Technical College Swainsboro campus to tour the Larry J. "Butch" Parrish Technology Center and its pathway programs: Electrical Construction Technology program, Welding and Joining Technology program, Machine Tool Technology program, Salon and Spa Support Specialist certificate program and the Engineering and Technology program.
During this month’s Board meeting, members addressed work-based learning for EDGE students, strategic planning, and program expansion for next fall. Leading the discussion on work-based learning concepts was Mr. Ken Warnock, EDGE Board Chairman and CEO of the Swainsboro-Emanuel County Chamber of Commerce and Development Authority. Dr. Glenn Deibert contributed ideas for developing a strategic plan for the EDGE College and Career Academy.
