The Swainsboro Rotary Club met Monday, October 5th, at Rustic Grill. President Morgan Boulineau called the meeting to order, and Rotarian Lynn Brinson introduced guest speaker Dr. Randy Brown. Dr. Brown is an Emanuel County native and renowned cardiothoracic surgeon who recently returned home to practice with Emanuel Medical Center.
Dr. Brown spoke to club members about Emanuel Physician Associates, the clinic where he practices, as well as the continued growth of services available through Emanuel Medical Center. He highlighted services the hospital and clinic have recently added and expanded in an effort to provide more care locally and reduce the need for area residents to travel out of town for medical treatment.
Dr. Brown also discussed the importance of community support for Emanuel Medical Center through the Georgia HEART Hospital Program. Through the program, Georgia taxpayers can redirect their state income tax dollars to Emanuel Medical Center, helping support local healthcare services and continued growth.
