Tomlinson Funeral Home & Crematory announces the death of Annette Berry Wilkerson, age 89, of Kite, on Monday, October 5, 2026, at Pruitt Health Nursing Home. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 8, at 2 p.m. at the Kite Church of God with Rev. Don Carroll officiating. Interment will follow in the Gumlog Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery near Kite. Family will receive friends Wednesday, October 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Tomlinson Funeral Home.
Annette was born August 24, 1937, in Candler County, to the late Charlie and Eunice Miles Berry. She was a homemaker and worked for several years in the furniture manufacturing industry. Annette was a devoted woman who loved her Lord and when not reading her bible could be found listening to the radio broadcast of the Atlanta Braves game. She loved her family and cooking. Annette was especially known for her cakes. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wilkerson is preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Wilkerson; granddaughter, Rene Martin; brothers, Roger Wilkerson, and Jerry Wilkerson; and sister, Eunice Berry Miles.
Mrs. Wilkerson is survived by her stepchildren, Bobby Wilkerson and Ricky Wilkerson; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sarah Powell of Meldrim; several nieces, nephews and extended family.
The family would like thank the staff of Pruitt Health Nursing Home and Pruitt Hospice for the care given to Annette.
