Aubrey Scott collected three hits in five at bats as David Emanuel Varsity Lady Eagles defeated Westfield School 15-4 on Tuesday, August 25, at Westfield School in game 2. Scott doubled in the sixth inning, singled in the fourth inning, and singled in the third inning.
Westfield opened the scoring in the first after Happel singled, scoring one run.
Varsity Lady Eagles took the lead in the top of the second. Kate Yeomans grounded out, scoring two runs, to give the Eagles the upper hand, 2-1.
The Lady Eagles added one run in the third after Rayleigh Faircloth doubled down the left field line. They scored six runs on five hits in the top of the fourth inning. Sydney Lively singled, scoring one run, Scott singled, scoring two runs, Payton Peebles doubled, scoring two runs, and Emily McRae grounded out, scoring one run.
The Eagles scored six runs on four hits in the top of the sixth inning. Faircloth singled, scoring two runs, an error scored one run, Bailey McNure doubled, scoring one run, and Scott doubled, scoring two runs.
Faircloth earned the win for the Eagles. The starting pitcher allowed eight hits and four runs (one earned) over six innings, striking out one and walking three.
Tinsley took the loss for Westfield. The starting pitcher went three innings, giving up seven runs on eight hits, striking out none and walking none.
The Eagles collected 14 hits in the game. McNure, Faircloth, and Scott each collected three hits for DEA. Faircloth and Scott each drove in three runs.
Katz led Westfield with three hits in three at bats. Nipper, Katz, and Happel each drove in one run for Westfield.
