Richard Braddy threw a perfect game to lead the Eagles to a dominant 16-0 victory over Vidalia Heritage Thursday, March 12. Braddy struck out 8 batters over 6 innings and was extremely efficient on the mound, throwing just 60 total pitches, 49 of which were strikes.
The Eagles got on the board early when Cooper Riner hit a home run in the first inning to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead. Riner had a strong day at the plate, finishing 3-for-5 with 3 RBIs. Brody Fleming also had a big offensive performance, going 3-for-5 with 3 RBIs. Hudson Starley and Hayden Powell each drove in 2 runs, while Richard Braddy, Tucker Free, and Sailor Powell added an RBI apiece.
As a team, the Eagles finished with 16 runs on 10 hits, recording 13 RBIs and drawing 9 walks in the win. The offensive production, combined with Braddy’s perfect performance on the mound, secured the impressive victory for the Eagles.
