Four sentenced in Superior Court

The following occurred during the Emanuel County Superior Court July 2026 term:

Daniel Bostic, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty plea on one count possession of meth w/intent to distribute. He was fined $1,000 with 30 years probation; one count possession of firearm by convicted felon with 10 years probation to run concurrent with count one. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 30 years to be served on probation. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(c).

Mitchell McCoy, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty plea on one count burglary in the 2nd degree with 5 years to serve. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 5 years. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(c).

Mitchell McCoy, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty plea on one count theft by taking greater than $25,000. He was fined $50 with 20 years, 6 years to serve, bal. prob. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 20 years, with the first 6 years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian. Upon service of 6 years, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PROVIDED, that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(c).

Kevin Schaller, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty plea on one count possession of scheduled I substance with 3 years to serve; one count DUI with 12 months to serve to run concurrent with count one. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 3 years. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(c).

Kevin Schaller, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty plea on one count possession of meth with 3 years to serve. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 3 years. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(c).

Tiffany Lamb Copeland, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty plea on one count financial transaction card theft. She was fined $50 with 3 years prob., 170-180 PDC susp. for inpatient rehab; one count financial transaction card fraud with 3 years prob., 170-180 PDC susp. for inpatient rehab to run consecutive with count one; one count financial transaction card fraud with 3 years prob., 170-180 PDC susp. for inpatient rehab to run consecutive with count two; one count financial transaction card fraud with 3 years prob. to run concurrent with counts one – three; one count financial transaction card fraud with 3 years prob. to run concurrent with counts one – four; one count financial transaction card fraud with 3 years prob. to run concurrent with counts one – five. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 9 years to be served on probation. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(a).
