Family Connection collects stuffed animals

Posted

On September 17, our Family Connection Collaborative Partners met at the Sudie Fulford Center for our monthly meeting. There were 17 present representing different organizations gathered to share resources and ideas of how to better serve the children and families of Emanuel County. This month we had a special service project of collecting stuffed animals to donate to the Swainsboro Fire Department to give to children who are experiencing a fire crisis.

Family Connection is part of the South-Central Resilient Georgia Cohort that focuses on mental health awareness and support in our community. Part of that work is focusing on childhood trauma and the effect that it has on us all and what we can do to build resiliency.

Family Connection will meet on October 8, and all are welcome.
