The Emanuel County Board of Education met on Monday, August 10, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at Emanuel County Institute with the following members in attendance: Tanya Lane, Elizabeth DeVane, John Allen Bailey, Del Brown, Jeanette Harden, Brandon Jones and Cherie Hooks. Board Chair Del Brown welcomed everyone calling the meeting to order. Brandon Jones delivered the invocation followed by Jeanette Harden leading the Pledge of Allegiance. John Allen Bailey made a motion to approve the agenda. Jeanette Harden seconded the motion. Tanya Lane, Elizabeth DeVane, John Allen Bailey, Del Brown, Jeanette Harden, Brandon Jones and Cherie Hooks voted “yes”. CARRIED.
